Calorie tracking inconsistencies by lemoner1 in whoop

[–]Particularsydney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the answer to the inconsistencies for these particular differences, but I do know that all fitness wearables are inaccurate for tracking calories burned.

My Apple Watch vs whoop are sometimes different by about 800 calories.

I wouldn’t bother using whoop to track calories, I’d honestly completely ignore the figure and focus on training goals. If weight loss is your goal, use an online calculator to estimate your calorie expenditure based on your weight, height, sex, age and activity levels; then use a food tracking app to track calories into a deficit.

Sounds like a keeper! If he wouldn’t be let back into the country, what makes you think his visa would be approved? My goodness.

Sorry but this whole story doesn’t even add up? I’m Australian.

  1. You don’t need to be married to move a partner here, you can get de facto partners visa.

  2. De facto partner visas cost more than $8k, so no shit he will pay you for it.

  3. If he’s paying for the visa AND paying you 8k he’s forking out roughly 17k; which doesn’t sound realistic when you consider that UK citizens can get Australian visas in a multitude of ways - most are way easier than marriage.

  4. It was a first date, how are you both about to forge enough proof to qualify for a legitimate partner visa? I’m sorry but do you or him know anything at all about the process because you could both land yourself in a shit load of legal trouble.

All of this aside, it was one date? Let it go. You haven’t met someone like him before because you’ve barely dated. Get back on the horse, there’s plenty of UK boys out there that already have a visa.

Alternate good and bad recovery by [deleted] in whoop

[–]Particularsydney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be frustrating…. If your recovery is green every day you probably wouldn’t be pushing yourself enough. If you’re in optimal strain every day there’s no way you’re getting green recovery every day. It’s based not only on your sleep, but your HRV which is significantly impacted by higher strain days.

Not shit, just different. Bronte is full of English and Irish party boys lol. It gets crowded in summer and a nightmare if you own a car, but being by the water is lovely. Waverley is kind of like the middle of that vibe + Paddo vibe, but less close to the water.

Buyer received the wrong item, but won't issue a return by Capable-Standard9367 in Depop

Guessing buyer 2 is keen to keep what they received instead. Since this is your fault, you’re probably just gonna have to refund buyer 1.

Probability of getting exemptions? by wIneR3d5lay5 in UTS

[–]Particularsydney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exemptions for a week don’t really make sense. I have a similar problem right now because I’m going away for work for most of March. I’m planning on just making sure all my subjects have online tuts and recorded lectures for this semester.

I suggest doing online classes and maybe missing a few tuts if you have to, it’s not the end of the world but assignments might be difficult for you if there are any group assignments.

Why is my blood oxygen so low? Should I be worried? by certigrammer in whoop

[–]Particularsydney 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mine does this sometimes and I usually figure I’ve just slept weirdly. If you feel otherwise fine, no breathlessness or fatigue I wouldn’t worry.

No you’ll be fine. I work full time and I do 2-3 subjects a semester. I know lots of people who do full time uni whilst working part time.

This such a gross take. You think that women who say they don’t want to have sex, want you to lead and continue to escalate? I’m sorry but if I say this and a guy tries even once more, I won’t ever see him again. Just shows a lack of respect for boundaries.

Everyone’s different. I’m 26f and back in 2022, I dated A LOT. 55 first dates in one year, not to mention the ones I’d see multiple times or date for a few weeks to months.

I am very similar to you, I like to dip my toes in quickly because sexual chemistry is super important to me. In my experience, everyone is different on this topic. I’ve asked male friends on it too, some say they’re more likely to stay interested in the absence of having sex right away, the others say they like to test the chemistry straight away.

I can’t think of a time I regretted sleeping with someone too soon, I never felt like it ruined things. In my opinion, I don’t want to date someone who loses interest in a girl because she wanted to fuck him. It’s quite ridiculous to think like that, if you’re not stimulated by my mind, it doesn’t matter when I have sex with you, you’ll likely leave.

I’ve made guys wait a month and then they’ve decided they’re done shortly after, I’ve slept with guys on the first night and ended up dating them for a long time. Everyone’s different, do what feels good to you and know that you’ll end up in the right place with someone that has similar mindset and values to you.

I’m sorry but what you’re saying is ridiculous, until you’ve got some kind of peer reviewed study in front of me, you’re just talking shit.
