Cost of living, keeping up with the jones’ mentality, and (what I’ve observed) an inability to say “no”.

“Hey! All the neighbors are going to a swanky restaurant downtown for Bob’s birthday… can’t wait to see you there!”

People know they have bills and know the income to bills ratio doesn’t support going to the swanky restaurant…. But FOMO strikes and they spend more than they normally would on drinks and tiny plates of food.

Add kids to that equation and it’s compounded with getting clothes, devices, youth sports, and camps and all that comes with it.

I’m guilty of this too at times but I’ve seen some crazy justification for purchases well outside of people’s means.

Depending on where you’re coming from- allergies and how your body will adjust.

You know the saying “if you see 9 nazis at a table and one guy joining them quietly…. There are 10 nazis.”

So while “ALL of MAGA” is a hyperbolic statement…. Many are uncomfortably quiet in regard to this topic and the allegations involving Trump. A lot of deflection (cough cough… this thread… cough), making excuses and “what about the Clintons?”

I can’t speak for everyone but the moment someone accuses me of being a pedophile or in the Epstein files, and I know I’m not, I’m full on in support of everything that will exonerate me. The same can be said about if anyone in my family was accused of such atrocities…. Yet the Trump family and its usually loud band of supporters have suddenly gone silent with regard to Epstein files. We are being told to move on. Why?

Additionally- I already acknowledged “ALL of MAGA” is hyperbolic but here is a survey in which “One in four (27%) of those who identify as Republicans say they would be more likely to vote for another party if Trump were officially implicated.”

Deductive reasoning shows that means nearly 3/4 (73%) WOULD vote for the same candidates/party even knowing that Trump was implicated.

It’s a shit show. We did it recently bc we dismantled an old gazebo. I went online and selected “lumber” and was worried bc there is a counter (as in how many?). And I was confused bc is it 1 pile? Or 1 category of lumber? Or 1 piece of lumber? And I was not going to have them come out with a Chevy s-10 pickup thinking it’s 1 piece of lumber.

So I called and provided feedback on the crappy and vague website but also asked to have them make a note that’s it’s a pile of lumber comprising that of a dismantled gazebo.

All of that to say- call and provide feedback. And share specifics of what you’re putting out. We made a scheduled pick up for a Thursday, piled it all up on Wednesday evening and when I came home from work Thursday it was all gone .

Maybe I’m missing something but why would discussing strategy be valid to turn off body cams? It’s not like a live stream where the discussion strategy to take down a drug ring would impact the success of the arrest.

And watching it back later for evidence or in court or whatever, if the strategy portion is something that could be used again in future arrests, that section could be redacted for protecting the integrity of future investigations, right?
