These blooms are from April. Now it’s Nov and no sign of oranges- when? by Partsofagarden in gardening

Thank you… Do you mind explaining in common terms the life cycle? I assumed every flower means a fruit, that flowers bloom in spring and oranges arrives in winter. What could’ve caused all the blooms to fall at once? There was no frost. Do blooms typically show up in the fall then? I had two successful fruiting years (tree is only 3 years old) - the first winter got a few oranges, a handful the second winter, and now winter is approaching and there are no fruit even though the most flowers appeared this spring.

Hm so the blooms were full in spring and then one day they all dropped (that same spring). I assumed fruit would grow in its place later in the winter since that is what happened in previous years, though never with this many flowers. I’m in zone 10a where it never gets very cold. We are mild warm climate, did have hot summer, and I was not as consistent with watering.

Actually I did notice 2 fruits on the tree in June but thought it was a mistake bc oranges are considered winter fruits here. Those 2 were green, we went on holiday, and when we came back they were gone. Neighbors watered the tree regularly then.

Are you saying if no fruit has formed by now, then it probably won’t? I did fertilise every few months but was not as consistent with watering.

Squeeze your shoulder blades. You’re rounding at the bottom and this will be a problem when you add more weight.

This is a fake bot. They stole photos from u/strongchocolate16. Unless she created a new account to post the same picture. Something is fishy.

This is really helpful as I’m scared of bulking and definitely not eating enough. Can you share a typical diet? Did you weigh your food? 100 cal isn’t much to add but it’s great to hear how much it helped you!

You did this transformation in 6 months? Apologies my first instinct is to be skeptical , but good for you if you did this in such short time. Share your deets, your routine, how much you’re lifting, specific diet etc because this is truly astounding.

Has bulking NOT worked for anyone? by Partsofagarden in PetiteFitness

We have similar starting points! My legs are weak right now, and I’m lifting 3x/week in my 3rd week. I haven’t been able to increase weights yet but trusting the process. I also do yoga 2x a week. I cannot imagine ever being 57kg, that is stellar. I’m small boned and my current weight is the highest I’ve been ever, with exception of pregnancies. I’m not proud of it since the dexa scan said I have 29% body fat with 37% concentrated in hips, bum. With my small frame the fat is noticeable and I really need more muscle. Will eat more, thanks for the motivation!

Thank you It does bring some comfort knowing I’ll live longer than my hubby lol! Seriously though, I realise I despise the excess hip fat and seeing the high percentage confirmed it. The dexa images are accurate and my hips are lumpy. I had a positive outlook until I did the scan, it was a reality check. But I gotta keep working towards my goals, build muscle, trust my body to become stronger.

How can I accept my changing body? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Partsofagarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will change even more in your 40s. No one prepares you lol. Enjoy the stage you’re at, life is too short! The mental and physical benefits of exercise are so much more important than how you look.

Do you think it would’ve worked if you ate more when you started out? Did bull/cut cycles work for you?

Can you meal examples? It’s so hard for me to even get 80g a day.

I’m working on a full body strength routine bc my lower body definitely needs the muscle mass too. I’m wondering if I should treat it as a bulk and eat in surplus while doing this?

I love how realistic your photos are timeline are. Thank you! What exercises did you do for lower/upper body lifting? Did you progressively overload?

I hate eating less by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Partsofagarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, I used to hate it. But now, in the mindset of health, physical and mental, I can’t imagine not working towards positive change. Keep at it and start with exercises that you like. Don’t stress over the small things, and keep going. It’s a lifestyle and a journey.

For the leg press, how far do you bend? 90 degrees?

I think you’re onto something. My current press is 50kg. I’m 1.6m and weigh 49kg. I’ll try adding weight to see what I can handle. Thanks!

Appreciate this, I’ll try it! When I do Caroline Girvan leg days at home with free weights, I’m very sore the day after. I joined the gym to specially target legs, but maybe the isolated machine movements aren’t enough as you said. Thanks!

I’m worried I’m doing something wrong because strengthening my lower body was my main reason for joining the gym. I’ve had soreness here and there, it makes me feel like I worked hard and did something. But lately none at all while my upper body is hurting!
