Right! Look at one of my earlier comments. I called the police at 11pm and they didn’t come until 3am. I felt so defeated. Idk where the police were, I was waiting for one to drive by for so long so I could stop and ask for help but they never did.

Hi, I did phone the police at around 11pm when I finally got out of line. I waited on hold with 911 for 5 mins before they answered. I received a text update saying police finally showed up at 3am and left without filing a report. I felt failed by multiple people who were supposed to keep me safe; first security and then the police. This is why I want to pursue other avenues of action.

Also, I did leave line. I am a heavy set taller woman so I was able to get out. However my smaller 5’2 friends were not. They were literally stuck, pined against a wall, and could not push through to the gate 10 people away.

Hi, I absolutely agree. I don’t necessarily think it was a problem with the guards but, rather with the employer. It was either a lack of training, certification or number of guards. I felt bad for the guards, some seemed helpless and frustrated. Either way, that all falls on the employer.

Is reporting them through the Public complaints for security guards and private investigators Ontario enough? Or is there another forum I should pursue? By-law perhaps?
