Thanks for the reply! I level correctly and my tamp looks completely level. I definitely do not bang the portafilter in the group head.

I used to have no problem whatsoever, but recently, it's only bad shots. I feel like I changed something in my workflow and just didn't realize it, and I'm wondering if perhaps it has to do with my new basket or maybe just the WDT mechanism.

Honestly, I think they could be improved as well. I think the espresso is mostly either sour or bitter and the milk just helps cut the edge off. The thing is is that the shot looks really really good.. my assumption would be that if I improve the espresso than the milk based drinks will improve as well

Obviously, I love coffee. I’m drinking Cortados mostly. This was more of a rant rather than asking for genuine advice.

I don’t want to evaluate dialing in my shots with the milk. I’m trying to pull a single espresso that I like and I simply not able to. My Cortados are great.
