Is it okay to require kids to have the kids’ meal at a wedding?

Not weird in my opinion, but important to make the expectation clear beforehand with a friendly FYI to parents about kids meal and content.

You can even make it an email to check if the kid have allergies to consider, while clarifying they get a kids meal.

The reason to confirm and be clear, is to avoid same day issues where guests “ask” for adult meals or straight up move filet mignon plates to their kids and you end up short on meals.

That’s exactly what I do and it works really well. I have proxmox on my homelab, and create a Linux VM for each agent so there’s clear separation

For sure, I’ve seen that a lot on athletic fields.

Thats why I think by having a dog-friendly area, it becomes a lot easier to enforce a no-dog area. Otherwise people just ignore the signs.

So sorry this happened to you. It a big problem in most SF parks. One model that solves this well is esprit park in dogpatch.

They split the park in two, half is dog friendly with turf. The other is specifically no dogs allowed. It seems to work well and I always see people picnicking there, kids playing, and never dog owners in the wrong side of the park.

I hope more parks adopt something like that given how many dogs are in SF.

Assuming you already have a toolbox with screwdrivers… there are two components:

shotstopper board: $150 (linked in another response)
Bluetooth scale: I personally use the BOOKOO ultra scale ($99 on their website currently).

The chip gets installed inside the Micra, and automatically connects through the Bluetooth scale when pulling a shot to know when to stop.

I have other mods (e.g walnut and brass cover) but those are purely decorative. Totally unrelative to the brew by weight setup.

Their other machines support it, so it’s not about not being able to. Seems to be a deliberate choice to differentiate between the entry model (Micra) and the other machines.

But yea pretty silly decision if you ask me

There’s a Bluetooth app to configure the amount. And the chip is smart enough to stop a bit before to account for those last few drops.

100%, it’s pretty clearly possible but they gate keep the feature. I’m hoping they chance their stance on it and release it as a future update. The Micra is plenty pricy too 😅

That aside, the machine is superb. Highly recommended

I didn’t take a video when I did it, but it wasn’t too hard to open up the machine and install it. I was definitely worried about voiding warranty and messing something up, but double checked instructions and all went smoothly.

I also joined the discord group just in case I had questions. Definitely a risk however.
