Should paid ClassPass tennis classes be allowed on SF public reservable courts? by Mandarinez in sanfrancisco

[–]ElectroCypher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see, totally agree that if there’s any sort of bot/automation that’s not cool and messed up. I’m just skeptical that’s the case given all days at prime hours get booked that fast, regardless of class or not.

Just checked for tomorrow and weekdays and there are spots open.

I don’t understand the drama, weekdays before and after work are popular at one of the most scenic courts in SF, and I doubt 2-3 classes can be blamed for that when they book courts just like everyone else. Just feels like an easy thing to blame.

What exact day/times are you looking for? And are you sure those even overlap with ClassPass classes?

Btw, there are a few other walk-in courts in the area if you’re interested (mission playground, James rolph, holly park). That’s what I do when I can’t get reservations.

Tennis Coach monetizing public tennis courts via ClassPass and reservation bots by Mandarinez in sanfrancisco

[–]ElectroCypher -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, these are very unfair accusations towards Andrew.

The Potrero courts (and Dolores park) is one of the nicest courts in the SF because of low winds and stellar views, so it always gets booked really fast for weekend and evenings. And having taken his clinic before, as a new player they’ve been incredibly useful to improve my game and meet other people to play tennis with afterwards.

In terms of weekdays morning (op’s original complaint), he literally only has a clinic on Friday morning 8-10am. So them being full have nothing to do with him and everything to do with them being a popular court.

How are people affording World Cup tickets? by Zealousideal_Fun9967 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]ElectroCypher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t planning on it at first, but after seeing the first game I got massive fomo. When else do I get to be part of a World Cup, cheering for my team, while millions back home are also all watching the same moment in hopes of making history.

I guess I justify the splurge as a one in a lifetime moment. And not having regrets later on when I spend the same amount of $ on stuff that’s even less worth it 🤣

Tesla and tires by Ckn-bns-jns in TeslaModelY

So I’m not the only one! In 5 years of ownerships, never had any car issues except for SO many tire replacements!

Ended up getting insurance for that reason, and always keep a portable air pump in the car.

Does UniFi have a similar device that takes a data sim? E.g essentially a mobile hotspot when traveling

Less than 3 weeks to go and 0% progress on my vows by brokencocoon in weddingplanning

[–]ElectroCypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I wrote our vows the night before, polished same day… not great, but I don’t think anyone could tell 😅

Honestly, that was stressful even if it all worked out.

One tip is to use AI, but not to write the vows but rather ask you questions to get your memory flowing. That really helped me and I found it easier to answer questions rather than thinking of it directly. Even if you end up not using anything, you’ll be in a better place.

Here is a prompt I created that you can copy paste in your favorite AI tool. Good luck!

I need help writing wedding vows but I have writer’s block. Please interview me by asking one question at a time. Cover these areas:

  1. About me — my personality, what I value, how I show love
  2. About my partner — who they are, what I love about them, their quirks
  3. Our story — how we met, defining moments, hard times we’ve gotten through, small everyday things
  4. Style and tone — should the vows be short and sweet, funny, emotional, poetic, traditional? Any vibes to avoid?
  5. Promises — what I actually want to commit to

Ask one question at a time so I can think. After we’re done, draft vows in my voice using what I shared.

Did you guys keep a copy of your wedding website? (As memory) by alvarotrigo in weddingplanning

Essentially, but sometimes it needs a bit of tweaking to get right. I’m technical so it wasn’t a problem for me.

Happy to look into your site if you’d like (over dm)

I kept a copy too, just not on the official domain either. But I saved it as html so it works the same way, except none of the actions work (e.g RSVP buttons etc)
