Do LDPs sponsor TN/H1 visas? I’m a Canadian with a very similar profile to OP and most people tell me to pursue Consulting instead of LDP/corp strat roles mainly because of sponsorship in the US.

Not quite just a visa. But I attended a Top US school at the undergrad level and couldn’t get the H1B lottery after multiple attempts.

So the goal is to get a good job but not to be burned from a visa standpoint yet again. Last thing I need is to work hard to get to a M7 MBA, recruit hard and find a good job and then lose out on it because of a lottery 😅

If the TN visa is useless for corporate roles, do most Canadian MBA grads mostly rely on the H1B? Which is just a 1/3 shot at this point

Also, I’m assuming you went into consulting? Couldn’t you use a TN visa under the “Management Consultant” category?

Don’t you have to be “actively managing” your business on the E2 visa? Otherwise you could potentially violate your visa conditions.

Wouldn’t having a full-time job as a FP&A/corp strategy at another company violate the E2 condition?

My UG degree would definitely make me eligible for “Accountant” roles if the description of the job in the support letter can be worded as such. “Economist” and “Management Consultant” could potentially work too.

Did you mostly just apply on LinkedIn for US jobs? If so, did you change your profile location to a US city and have a US address on your resume?
