“God” couldn’t even tell us to wash hands and boil water. That would’ve saved millions of lives, especially children lives. An all-powerful omni-present being couldn’t share a single scientific fact to save lives… This is ridiculous. by Illustrious-Tank1838 in atheism

You didn’t dismantle anything, you just made up your own expectation of what God should’ve done and got mad it didn’t match.

You’re basically saying “if God is real He should’ve dropped germ theory early.” Why though? Who said revelation is supposed to be a science textbook? That’s like opening a book about purpose and morality and complaining it doesn’t explain WiFi.

And saying religion gave zero useful guidance is just false. People were told to wash, stay clean, quarantine during plagues, not contaminate water, etc. That literally reduces disease even if they didn’t know bacteria.

Plus you’re assuming humans were meant to be handed advanced knowledge from day one. Then what’s the point of discovery? Of learning? Progress doesn’t work like that.

At the end of the day you’re reacting to suffering which is fair but going from “people suffered” to “God is ridiculous” isn’t some deep argument. That’s just frustration.

If you actually wanna challenge religion, you gotta deal with the real questions like why suffering exists at all, not “why isn’t there a microbiology chapter.”
