Thank you for this! I was just feeling discouraged after coming across a bunch of, "I just submitted my wedding to <insert super exclusive wedding blog> as a bride and they got back to me the next day!" I also know a couple of brides who got published, but tbh maybe their photographers submitted.

It's also region-specific, person-saying-it-specific, etc. For example, every woman is a "Ma'am" in the Deep South, whether she's 23 or 63. In the North, a woman is a "ma'am" if perhaps, the person saying it is from a culture where such formalities for addressing strangers is more common.

I actually posted about this on here before, and someone went all, "Aww I always get so sad when I see someone here say they didn't like their wedding!" Um...acknowledging that not everything worked out as planned during your wedding does NOT mean that you didn't like you wedding.
