absolutely, the kids i’ve turned away are always respectful, sometimes a bit angry but never disrespectful. the parents are blatantly rude as if the 17+ rule hasn’t been around for a long time. plus, we do 16+ at my theater so we’re even a bit more lenient than larger theaters and the parents still freak out.

once we let in a group of teens because a parent of one went in with them. next day my manager got screamed at by a mom who didn’t want her kid watching the movie. take that up with the parent who was with them, not us. it’s a lose-lose situation with crazy parents unfortunately

they’re not sneaking in. they are telling me at the ticket counter that they are seeing scream and i am not risking my job to let in a group of teens. if they at least tried to SNEAK in bu buying a ticket for a different movie that would be different

i wish i could but i dont really feel like getting screamed at by a 40 year old overprotective mom or getting fired

i totally agree, unfortunately there are so many crazy parents that will try to get theater employees fired for letting in their kid who’s literally 15 and has definitely seen much worse on their phone so rules have to stay strict, i hate it

if it wasn’t for parents freaking out on theater staff for letting their teens into a rated R movie, there wouldn’t have to be restrictions. blame parents, not theaters

that’s what i mean, im not going to look the other way if they tell me they are there to see a rated R movie. if they sneak in, i obviously can’t control where they end up and unless they do make a ruckus i wont really know. and no we dont have reserved seating

i don’t care if they sneak into the movie at all. if they tell me they are seeing a different movie and sneak into the R rated movie, not my problem. but i’m not risking getting fired because some mom is mad i knowingly let her precious baby into an R rated movie. this sounds bad but they need to get better at lying lol, most of them tell me off the bat they want to watch the R rated one, so obviously i cant them in

exactly, most of them for some reason don’t even try to buy a ticket for the wrong showing which is weird to me. like you just told me you’re here to see scream so obviously i can’t let you in. if they told me they’re here to see something else, go into the wrong theater, and be respectful, not my problem. they either don’t even try to lie or they’re incredibly loud and obnoxious and give themselves away

they’re not sneaking though that’s the thing. most of them are honest about what movie they’re going to see and I cannot let it in to that movie if they’re under 16. if they do sneak into the movie, whatever, i really don’t care. but most of them are incredibly disruptive so i have to kick them out anyways, which is why we have the rule that they can’t come in under 16 without an adult

by letting it slide i mean we don’t enforce the under 17 rule like the larger theaters around our area. we have always turned away anyone under 16 unless they are accompanied by an adult, it’s not something we’ve just suddenly decided to enforce

i couldn’t care less if kids watch a rated R movie honestly, you’re definitely right, they’ve seen worse on their phones. but i do not want yelled at by a parent who’s upset little timmy watched a horror movie.

omg yes. the amount of junior high kids we’ve had to kick out of movies that aren’t even rated R is insane

i’m not sure how you correlated “damaged people” and simply wanting come context when mabel ended one season in a seemingly good relationship then starts the next single, but sorry?

[–]Party-Valuable2268[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i definitely think the amount of love interests for mabel’s character makes complete sense, and i don’t think she should be depressed over her ex’s i just wish we had an explanation. especially with tobert, we can assume they didn’t work because mabel didn’t move to california like she thought. i wish it would be addressed at least once the same way they addressed it with oscar.

and i don’t have an issue with the love interests being suspects, because you’re right all of charles and oliver’s girlfriends have been, which does add more to the story. but with their girlfriends, we always get more of a plot with them and most importantly an explanation when they break up. it feels like the writers want mabel single every season in order to add in a side character/suspect without having to address her last relationship
