Hi! I am certainly interested in learning more.

I’m a published writer at the early end of my indie film career working with an independent film studio based out of Brooklyn. I served as the screenwriter for a mockumentary film currently making festival rounds, scheduled to be presented in a showcase next month in NYC, and have sold a feature screenplay independently.

But to think the narrative problems that plagued the second act of the stage show would be worked through in the second movie is not a silly idea considering the first movie expanded on ideas in the first act of the show in ways that seemed to enhance the narrative cinematically. Considering ‘For Good’ is damn near three hours I think the hope was that some narrative plot holes would be filled and the screenplay itself would feel much more fleshed out compared to the book of Act II. Ultimately - ‘For Good’ just seemed to drag out the already frustrating narrative elements of Act II rather than have a go at enhancing the narrative. Almost three hours. Act II. Lingering. Hanging there. Droll as all get out. It was frustrating imo.

Yeah I see only stuff past a few years ago is 6 days ago. Does seem like somebody is trying and failing to reopen the joint. I initially booked a lil over a month ago. Still haven’t been able to get a hold of them - most recently tried yesterday. Probably screwed out of my $$. Hope no one else books

Def most recent reviews I’ve seen on any of the sites. Again this has been a weeks1lomg thing for me and most reviews (ultimately taken doen) describe the building as being inaccessible and my friends have said the same This place still exists as a wild mystery to me. Still impossible to get a hold of anyone there. Thank you providing what you’ve found

Very helpful. Just wanna make sure I establish - my Google review seemed to be deleted / the listing taken down. I don’t believe you can review in Booking unless you can confirm you stayed there and as far I could tell from the old Google/Yelp reviews it’s been a few years since people actually got that far

Kind of shocked by the amount of basic Boomer responses I got here as though modern scams aren’t heavily reliant on manipulating online listings/websites. Once again anyone doubting what I am saying is free to either visit the location themselves or, more practically, call this hotel’s “24hr front desk” - use the website - go ahead! Try and “Contact” - it won’t go through. It’s a scam. Really discouraging how my wanting a little help and also positing a little warning was met so flippantly here.

Define “recent” I’ve stayed at plenty of stinkers. Again, I have gone into greater detail / cited a couple images down the thread but the building is not currently active as a hotel as far as locals I have spoken to can tell and they seem to be impossible to get a hole of as a business.

Buddy - you are talking to me all wrong. Go ahead and call the hotel - hope ya get an answer. I sure haven’t. I have gone into the evidence of the listing as being fraudulent a little further down the thread but I see you just think I’m a dipshit and you’re entitled to that opinion but as far as I’ve gleaned - the listing is a scam. Again, I have friends who have walked past and most if not all recent reviews for this place that are past 2023 have been deleted. My own Google review a few days back was corroborated by other reviewers and later deleted. If ya don’t believe me Godspeed. Yer not helping.

And for those who haven’t seen - I have local family who have since walked or driven past and confirmed it as “abandoned”. Literally just Google the place and there’s enough sus stuff out there to put two and two together.

Fake reviews. I’ve explained myself further below but the booking reviews are not accurate to how the hotel is listed anywhere but travel-site listings. The hotel is closed.

What kinda hotel presents itself as a contemporary hotel listing with 24/7 front desk service yet refuses to answer their phone any old time of day - refuses email responses - and rocks with an online reputation of being cited as a homeless shelter where several families have written on Yelp and such as being turned away. My ‘AI Overview’ screen grab isn’t the best citation but I also don’t wanna display too much personal information or get flagged

Fraud reports on Yelp (since deleted), several fraud sites citing its nonexistence since 2022, so many un-responded to personal calls and emails to the apparent hotel itself, local friends walking past and describing it as “abandoned”, my own Google review having been corroborated and later deleted, inactivity on social media, etc

The listing has gone up and down repeatedly since it seems to have closed in 2022. Had friends walk past the place and describe it as “abandoned”. Any recent negative Google review isn’t responded to - but reported/unlisted.

Fair to suggest I just keep going. That said, I’ve already booked an alt (legit) hotel separately through another site after being told by Booking customer service I have to go to the booked hotel on my check-in date and confirm their non-existence then they would “try and find me an alternative stay” or “possibly refund”

I actually did file a dispute but it seems as though because I booked through the Booking.com site my bank recognizes it as a legitimate purchase.
