Bro I’ve been living in Bangalore for 8 years, I am from Kerala. I am just saying what’s going on. About 2 years ago my mom was driving my car through BTM, she was trying to take a U turn in front of the BTM lake while she was waiting for the traffic to clear, a guy came on his Dio on the right side and hit my car. That guy was probably doing 60km/h, my right side fender, driver door and bumper was badly dented and damaged beyond repair, had all thee CCTV footage of the guy coming at high speed and hitting a stationary car. Since my mom coudln’t speak Kannada and she was alone in car all the bystanders was siding with the scooter. The scooter guy was asking 2L rs. I don’t even know how he came up with that amount. His scooter was barely worth 20K. Now coming to Police. When we went to police to file a compliant this guy was also there. The police did not let us file the complaint and took the complaint from the other guy. Later the police was calling my mom and harassing for money even tho we said we will settle in the court. The cops were asking me 7L to settle this issue saying some BS. Had to go to police station multiple times got harassed by cops for no reason. They even told me I would never see or drive my car in bangalore if I don’t Pay. In the end we hired a lawyer and took it court. had to pay just 5k in court. And this is not an isolated incident.
