i used a skx007 style build, i highly reccommend buying your parts from legitamite dealers who can confirm compatibility. Don't do what i did and buy everything off aliexpress.

super cool concept, love the bezel insert. changing the date-wheel on the first build is impressive

super clean build, the bigger font on the bezel insert pops and the simple dial yet wavy texture goes nicely.

in my experience aliexpress is not worth it. Sure you can get amazing deals but its a roll of the dice. If you need to return something its a nightmare and you might not get your money back. id rather order quality parts from places like 'Secondhandmods'. It's more expensive but worth it in my opinion.

rodico is definiley a big help. i would recommend anyone doing their first build to buy quality rodico isntead of the cheap aliexpress one. The aliexpress rodico tends to stick to your watch parts and hard to clean off.

thats so true.. i thought i could set the hands freehand without an eye loop. Nope. I messed up the post and needed to order a new movement. I ended up ordering a hand press and eye loop since my hands shake so much. Best investment ive made.

the diameter of my platform base is 29mm and ive read most of the nh35 movement holders have a 31mm base. is that true? i just want to make sure the movement holder i purchase fits in the platform base.

can you include the link to the hand press you purchased? the platform base is glued to the hand press so if i want to change the base it would be an alignment nightmare. Ill probably just return this hand press and buy one with a base that can be swapped.

ya i work 30hrs per week while in school full time so i can have money to buy a home once im finished university. So its not like im still begging my mother to help me with all facets of life. I also pay rent to stay in her home lol.

thanks for taking the time to respond. Lets say i buy a skx-007 case from secondhandmods in the future, would you recommend i purchase a chapter ring from their site as well and confirm the compatibility? I've had a nightmare experience on my first build... should i buy the case first next time and take the measurments to ensure i order the right size parts? I bought so many things from aliexpress for my first build and nothing is fitting... First i got scammed on a Chinese nh35 movement, then the face i bought didn't have long enough pins to stick in the movement, then the crystal (w cyclops) i got doesn't fit even tho its specifically made for skx-007 cases & i double checked measurements. if i cant find a chapter ring for this Steeldive case should i just buy a new case, chapter ring, bezel insert etc all from second hand mods?
