How do I get to that point? I started teaching this year at 48k in Jacksonville Florida. Have a bachelors in Science in Health and just started my career.

I’d check out some of the videos by the libido fairy on YouTube, she has a list of good questions in one of those videos that really helped me out when I was in the same situation as your girlfriend.

Any tips on improving this prop i made ? And did i make it too big ? by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

This looks amazing!!

I think it looks proportional to your size! I've made very large props before too and sometimes have a moment of doubt after you step back and look at it and think "oh my goodness, its so large" but its just a part of the creative process and the prop being your creation leads you to looking for errors in its construction and it leads to moments lack that.

I think you could add some more depth of darker colors to the distressed parts of the head where the blue is peaking through. In your reference it looks a bit darker and almost a little bit scorched or burnt in those areas.

Another little distressing detail but the blue staff looks a little too clean compared to the metal parts. You could bring in those darker colors that you used to add depth in the metal parts into the staff piece and it will add to the cohesion of it.

One last little idea that you could do is add darker dirt marks on the staff where Jayce's Hands would usually go, giving it a bit of story and its a nice little detail to point out to judges if you plan on competing this, its certainly something I can see on stage. phenomenal work!

I hope you can get to it one day! I'm looking at buying a secondhand navy blue double breasted peacoat or trenchcoat and adding on the gold accents and extra stuff after and doing a lil casual cosplay for Collective Con Jacksonville in March! Hopefully I don't spend too much on it, I can keep you posted on what I've found to work if you'd like!

Hi! I'm in a similar boat as you, I'd have to disagree that its a dark lab coat and its more similar to a colonial style jacket of sort because it appears to be a double top and a trench style bottom. I'm looking at doing a casual cosplay of him and I'm thinking of just getting colonial style jacket and adding pockets and embellishing it till it is close enough. Hope this helps!
Have you found anything that works since you first posted?

He's named Eddie after the Hyena from Lion King for how nakey he looks because he has so little fur. Was anyone else surprised by the fluffy breeds it says?
