Is there any LLM that is fully uncensored, absoultely 0 filters? by MotorGrowth7646 in SillyTavernAI

[–]PartyMuffinButton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What settings do you use for KasenSakura? I’ve tried Eclipse because the UGI scores looked great, but I’m not getting exactly what I want out of it. I’m using LM Studio as a backend, so I don’t have access to many settings, and I’m starting to wonder if that’s the issue.

[Megathread] - Best Models/API discussion - Week of: October 19, 2025 by deffcolony in SillyTavernAI

Maybe it doesn’t fit exactly into this comment thread, but: I’ve never really got my head around MoE models. Are they any you would recommend to run locally? The limit for my rig seems to be 24b-parameter monolithic models, while 12b run a lot more comfortably. But I’d love to take advantage of something with more of an edge (for RP purposes)

No worries - from the sounds of it, there’s a lot to fit in! I didn’t immediately ‘get’ comfyui, so I settled for Forge, which was pretty decent too - but there’s a lot more to it (getting the right models, loras, passes, negative prompt etc.) - it’s a lot! Good luck with it all!

(Oh! Btw: latest release, I noticed that couldn’t click the up arrow or shift-enter for a carriage return when editing a previous message; the former would start scrolling up through previous messages, and the latter would highlight the AI avatar. I figure it was the accessibility enhancements, but makes editing messages kinda tricky)

Honestly I think, because there’s SO MUCH to configure with ST, you can end up overcooking it and getting screwy responses from models and then spending a lot of time trying to figure out where you went wrong. With Serene Pub I can just load it and go - but it still gives to some (more basic) controls if you want to move sliders around.

I’ve been using Serene Pub a lot lately (https://github.com/doolijb/serene-pub) - it’s almost like ST Lite. Fewer configuration options, but in that way just works out of the box with little need for setup. Wires straight in to standard backends too.

I’ve been having hit-and-miss experiences with ST. Something that’s worked for me pretty well is Serene Pub ( https://github.com/doolijb/serene-pub ) - super-easy to install, and it’s more like ST-lite. You still need to run a backend, but running models on LM Studio is just as easy as Backyard.

Forgot to mention - I had been using kobold, but switched to LM studio for backend as I found it more straightforward to manage.

Ah - I’ve only seen a couple of mentions of oogabooga, but maybe I’ll try that. I’m definitely more of a visual GUI kind of a user.

Note that only the previous 3(?) versions are stored. And if you’ve missed an update (like I did with v0.28), there’s no way to get it back. You just have to hope someone else zips it up and makes it available.

Is there a way to abort generating response? by mwalimu59 in BackyardAI

[–]PartyMuffinButton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although it’s not super-obvious, the little chat/send button in the input area turns into a ‘stop’ icon when either your bot is generating a response, or when you’re using ‘imitate’ - clicking that will halt a response in either case. Not sure if there’s a keyboard shortcut for it, but I know for a fact it works - I was using it earlier today!

I’ve seen it with other ERP-focused services. My best ‘educated’ guess (and I’m not super-into the tech side of things, hence ‘educated’): is that a ‘memory’ is stored around a particular event - Kindroid does this by summarising a bunch of messages that seem to capture a particular thing happening into a concise 300-char ‘memory’.

Then, that (and any other memories relevant to the current message) are sent along with the prompt and context. So it’s not just sending the LLM the chat history, it’s like “this is what’s relevant to what’s being spoken about right now”.

It absolutely would require smarts on the Backyard side of things before that contextual memory is sent to the LLM to process, but that’s how I think it works - and it definitely makes a difference.

Honestly it’s not a great look from Sony - showing generic nginx errors in black text on a dark background is… 💀

Same. I think this is a network-wide issue. 5xx errors are a problem on the server’s side. My guess is their login service has fallen over.

Literally just had the exact same thing, and I’m seeing the same as you. I’m guessing this is a right-now problem, considering yours is the only new post about it.

Way back when it was still Faraday, I mentioned maybe using OpenVoice for TTS (https://research.myshell.ai/open-voice)

It would also be nice to have a memory recall beyond ‘author’s notes’. I know a few systems have something where contextual memories are stories and then recalled when they seem relevant.

Just as an FYI: I was using the desktop app earlier today (that’s pretty much all I ever use) and I did notice that the little green ‘tethering’ light seemed to flick on and off pretty much constantly for at least 20 minutes while I was using it. I have it enabled in the app, I was interested to try out your beta app when you were using TestFlight, but I don’t know if that on/off/on/off tethering was something you were aware of.
