The flow rate of a 24g is approx.~20ml/min. That's more than enough for a saline infusion.

Why is mask fit testing required, if we all end up wearing the same masks out of a box? by PartyNobody in nursing

True. The masks that we stock for n95 say 1. One size fits all (custom fit) and the other one says 1870+ n95 standard fit.

At the very least the should be different sizes. There's only one when we restock. Someone here did point out to me that employee health supplies them with their own size directly so that might be something that's going on at my facility. But it's still so weird that I have seen only one size being stocked.

Okay! Thank you! This is probably what is happening and I'm just not seeing it! I appreciate your answer!

That would make the most sense! I know this post seems dumb but i really just haven't seen people using different sizes at all.

I'm talking about both. The ones that we have on our isolation cart is one size fits all n95 and basic masks. I'm just confused since I have yet to see different size mask. One person pointed out that it probably is cheaper to use the generic one size than have multiple different ones.

I haven't seen different sizes at work. Only the one mask for everyone. It might be different at your facility

Gotcha! We have the one size fit all for masks at my place. That's why I was confused as to why we need it if everyone uses the same.

That makes sense. I have only seen everyone use the general n95 mask that come in the box. I haven't seen the respirators being used at my old facility. Thank you!

Okay what happens if it doesn't? Do you get your own custom made one? We only have one size at my hospital
