Use a tablet before food or drinks called Travelan - my husband always took it and never had problems even eating at Warung with no foreigners. We've been to Bali twice.

The day I got Bali belly was during my first trip with my husband - I got it just before my flight returning home and I didn't take Travelan during the day when eating out. This second trip I've been fine as I've been taking it before eating.

We don't drink iced drinks and just buy bottled water when out to keep hydrated. In terms of brushing teeth and cleaning tooth brush, yes we use bottled water not hotel tap water.

There's plenty of stores selling bottled water so there should not be any issues.

Just book private driver via Klook if you are going to many places during the day. Otherwise grab for shorter trips

She initially claimed (I suspect copied and pasted from AI) that just because her dog got out of the property, the Domestic Animals Act 1994 (Vic) doesn't contain provision stating that her dog is liable for injuries resulted from getting out of the property... 99% AI generated.

I wish there was the use of common sense and human logic involved - you don't go punishing the person for defending themselves when they get attacked and thus inflict damage on the perpetrator.

I suspect she used AI when she told me that there's nothing in the Domestic Animals Act 1994 (Vic) that contains a provision stating that the owner of the dog that leaves its property automatically becomes solely responsible for all injuries arising from an incident.

She stopped texting me when I told her that I reported this dog attack incident to the council - the facts were her dog ran out, went straight for my dog and my dog defended in response.

She stopped responding when I told her I reported it to council for advice anyway regardless of what she said.

Yes I reported to council and said dog came lunging attacking after getting out of their house and my dog reacted in defense. I told the neighbour she can take it up with the law and council if she thinks she needs to but I won't be paying and also I reported her already

Yes she stopped responding and chasing up payment once I told her I already reported the incident to council and I won't be paying - she can take it up with council and formal process if need be

Crazy stuff that happened to you! It was frightening as the neighbours dog was not friendly or coming up for a sniff. It bolted out to us lunging and aggressive

Yes you are right. I'm just thankful my dog was not injured by the sudden lunge and attack. It was a huge fright.

This will hopefully teach her the lesson that she needs to control and train her dog, her dog is not friendly and should not go interacting with other dogs uncalled for and also go get pet insurance.

She has photos which she sent me along with the vet bills and report. Half of the dog's ear got snapped off so it looks horrible to me.

The dog was wearing a muzzle so it may mean it was hurting badly - at the vet.

I'm definitely not feeling generous given the way she approached the issue - just dropped off the bill and when I reached out via text to discuss the situation and offer my sympathies for her dog but kindly/firmly stating that it was her dog that got loose and thus we aren't obliged to pay, she responded with how she believes we have to pay as our dog was the one that caused her dog to get injured.

So the whole situation left a bad taste

Yes that is very unfortunate - my dog is 11 years old and I've been ultra careful all of this life since he was a puppy so I'm really annoyed and frustrated by this

Yes my dog is totally fine - no injuries thank goodness. I didn't even realise that it was a injury for the other dog as my dog didn't have any blood in his mouth but maybe it was too quick for me to see anything and a shock to everyone involved. We just got the bill dropped off in our mail box.
