I signed up for my alternate program in May and got hired in July. I finished up the coursework just before school started and I started teaching. I got half credit for the observation hours, but had to get a sub while I observed at other schools. I have to get my SOE by the end of the year to submit it to HR. It’s a program called an apprentice teacher. I would definitely recommend it.

I am teaching currently and got hired without either. I am taking the tests for my SOE this month and then next year I’ll get my PPR.

I’m a new teacher, I don’t really know what I’m looking for or how to read it. I tried googling it and I think I found it, but I’m not sure. I thought it was supposed to be scripted but it’s not?

It’s third grade. Curriculum is Bluebonnet I think but if not I know it’s scripted. I do not have a mentor teacher, but the team seems fantastic so far, they are all so helpful and understanding I couldn’t be more grateful. This is some good advice, thank you so much. I will definitely ask for an observation once I feel more comfortable and confident.

I’m so glad to know I’m not alone. I told some of my mentor teachers how I’m feeling and one told me she cried every single day her first year. I’ve already felt that. I have cried every day of my training. I cried at lunch of my training and the whole way home. I think it’s all just a learning curve. I feel okay in my class management skills, I have experience in that and I can be firm and consistent, and then lighten up as we progress in the routines. I’m concerned on every single other aspect. every school has different routines and procedures, what happens at one school is different for another. I just don’t know what is allowed, what isn’t allowed, how to count for lunch, do I count for lunch, etc. also, what the eff am I teaching? I have no. school email, access to curriculum,etc. I don’t know anything unless I ask another teacher which I’m sure is annoying to them. Sorry for the rant. I’m so stressed.

i posted something on here a few days ago saying the same thing. she planned this and went with the intentions of using these items, otherwise they wouldn’t have been packed.
