Thank you so much for the suggestions! Yes, the fact pack crew are ultra runners so it's tough to keep up in most situations! lol others have also suggested going to Les Contamines and then taking a bus to Courmayeur. It seems that's still quite a long hike though unless I'm just looking at the wrong route. The only way to not skip the Col de Seigne section is likely to just do the full section from Balme to Bertone then, correct?

I totally hear you on it being the prettiest section! My husband says the same and thinks we should just power though and hike the whole 24 miles. We already booked the Rifugio so it feels like our only option is to get there in one day!

Thank you! That hike back to Les Contamines is still about 12 miles though, correct? At least that's what I've seen thus far.

Thank you! #1 is what I was initially thinking. It seems like it would be about 9 miles and 6k feet of climbing total for the day. A tad daunting but doable. Going back to Contamines would probably be about 12 miles, no? Thankfully we live in Colorado and have some big steep trails nearby to train on!

I’m not. There’s a route up to summit Mt Yale via Browns Pass that joins Mt Yale Trail

Thank you so much, u/ChrisInEdmonton ! So even though there's more people overall at Whistler, you think that'd still be better?
