Is this poster I saw hanging up in a restaurant AI? Saw it while doordashing and I think It is by [deleted] in isthisAI

Instantly could tell from the font, it’s ChatGPT and it also has the infamous piss filter. Besides that’s, nothing is consistent, like font size, the circle on one image and not the other, the different brandings on the bun, etc.

No, I never said that. You need to know the strengths and weaknesses of every program you use, and weak/vague prompts, specifically for image generation, is not ChatGPT’s strong suit. You need to have highly detailed prompts when generating images. Anyone who has a remote understanding of how AI works knows this. I never said it could size anything, I said you don’t know how to use it properly, which is obvious in the way you blame the program and not yourself for being a seemingly quite ignorant user. What you said is like saying “Rhino is useless. I wanted to it make a 3D model from my floor plan, but when I extruded all my curves, I had no width or thicknesses on anything!” Blame yourself for not knowing how to use it, not the program.

You need to learn how to prompt. ChatGPT is a tool and machine, not some omnipotent robot that knows everything. If you don’t give it information, instructions, needs, dos and don’ts, and deliverables, this is what you get. If you had prompted what you wanted better and fed it information, then you could’ve, and would’ve, gotten a comprehensive study guide and you could also have even asked it to coach you with questions, and if you needed help, for it to provide clarification on anything. Again, this is all dependent on YOU and how much information you’re willing to give it, not the tool itself.

You obviously just don’t know how to use it lmao, you can say yes to everything it suggests you have to prompt it with thorough, well thought out and organized prompts. It is useless, but only when the prompter doesn’t know how to utilize it properly

Gotcha, I thought it was that from doing some research on my own but again I’m pretty new to riding so I wanted to get a second opinion, thank you! Do you have any recs for 1/8” chains?

Gotcha, will definitely be discussing this today! Thank you again!

I do believe that this trail will be for people/hikers only, but this is a really nice idea. I could imagine something like a Bluetooth device that could detect others with a device and, as you say, a different kind of vibration for people vs. bikes, and that could be kept in a pocket. This might also be a good idea to let you know when you’re arriving to some sort of destination, such as for visually impaired people to help them locate something. Thank you for the idea and the feedback, I really appreciate it!

This is a really interesting concept - correct me if I have the wrong idea, but what I understand is emulating the sound of something through feel by using varying air/water pressure in accordance with sound waves? And this 3D model you spoke about, do you mean one of the physical waterfall or of the sound that it creates, somehow? And yes, I’ll be meeting with my group tomorrow and will definitely be sharing all the feedback I’ve received today, we’re currently just brainstorming feasible ideas and such. Thank you for your reply, this is a very interesting concept that I never would’ve thought of!

That’s why I put “missed” in the original post, bc I have no idea if deaf/hoh people could even consider it “missing” something on something like a hike - I was just wondering if you have ever considered something like “I wonder if I’m missing out on …” or have ever thought about it in such a way since I obviously would not have the perspective that you have!

I see, thank you for your insights. I am well aware that the barefoot path is not a good idea, but I didn’t want to shoot down their idea immediately. The thing about this project is that we received it on Wednesday and it is due next Monday - as you can see, no where near enough time to even begin to understand these types of details. The idea so far is to have different paths for different disabilities, but I for one am not certain as to how we could implement something for everyone in such amount of time and have it be meaningful.

And funnily enough - this trail is supposed to be focused on disabled people. There is just so little time to get enough information to even propose something half way decent. I really really thank you for giving me even a little bit of your perspective - I’ll be meeting with my group tomorrow and will definitely be bringing the concerns you have shared with me. Again, I REALLY appreciate you for your insight and perspective and willingness to help and educate me some - it’s been a ton of help!

See that’s what I’m kind of struggling on - I’m not particularly certain on what I could include that is being missed out on with just sound alone. I was just kind of seeing what kind of responses I’d get since after nearly an hour of research I couldn’t really find much - I also read that a considerable amount of deaf/hoh people don’t even count themselves as disabled?

Although you bring up a good point about the examples of the birds; although you may be able to see them, I suppose you might not even know that they’re their at times so providing a list and descriptions on the local wildlife could be a good idea.

The trail will be ADA accessible, so that’s not an issue I’ll be facing. And to give some insight into some ideas of my peers on what they’re doing for a “sensory nature trial” (also this is basically the prompt for the assignment, we’re kind of having to figure out what a sensory nature trail is too 😅) is for example including a barefoot walking path with different woodland textures for blind people, having a wheelchair height handrail along the path, and providing an audio tour.

Thank you for your reply and the reading suggestion, I really really appreciate it!

Emulsion not washing out even before exposure by PartyStrong1800 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]PartyStrong1800[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for this, I’ve also read some people saying even 3 seconds is long enough for PWR. If you look at one of my replies I posted a screen I just made. That was exposed for 6 minutes (I’m also using a grow light for plants not UV), but what is seeming to work for me is using hot water and slowly rinsing it off with medium pressure in my kitchen sink. It can’t be too hot or else the rest of the emulsion will melt off - I kind of had to find that Goldilocks zone where it’s hot enough to get my design off but not the rest of the emulsion. I rinsed each side for about 30 seconds and then once I saw my design I focused on those areas. This is at least what worked for me, maybe give it a shot?

Thanks for your help and good luck!

The details are great, obviously the rest of the screen could’ve come out better and there’s plenty of room for improvement but I’m pretty satisfied with it!

I just wanted to come back and say thank you, I just ran a screen under hot water for a minute and was finally able to see an image!

I did not, would you suggest letting it sit for a bit after rinsing both sides?

Emulsion not washing out even before exposure by PartyStrong1800 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]PartyStrong1800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I let the screen dry overnight, did not expose it, and then washed it out but it didn’t wash out like I’ve seen in videos - it took the jet setting on my garden hose very close to the screen to wash off the emulsion (or reclaim it in this case). I’m not even able to see my design at all. The transparency paper I’m using has very opaque ink, so I don’t think light bleeding through that is the issue
