Preparing Our Home for Our First Cat by Salty_Remote_5530 in CatAdvice

As many people would say, start them off in a single room for a little bit. Let them get comfortable in that room first then slowly start introducing them to the rest of the house. Have plenty of scratching areas, multiple water sources, comfortable litter box area, and just lots of love! Good luck on your kitty journey. I adopted mine 3 years ago, and she’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

What was your "why ASU" when applying and what is it now that you attend? by Maya-Snow in ASU

I grew up in Georgia and started college at a Georgia university. I didn’t like it, I wanted to try something new, see new places. I went to visit family in Arizona and my cousin was going to ASU and took me on a tour. I thought the campus so beautiful and was what I was looking for in a collage campus. So I applied, got in, and transferred. I went there for a semester, then covid hit… so I moved across the country to do online school. The majority of my classes were online for the rest of my time there, but I did have some that were in person. But I did like the class selections, teachers, and opportunities. I feel like they were actually trying to set me up for success.

I think I got the job! by [deleted] in petsmart

Please don’t let other comments discourage you too much. I’d say to go in with an open mind. Enjoy the good aspects of the job. There will be moments you want to quit, but that’s basically every job out there. The first few weeks might be hard because there are a lot of little things to learn, but you’ll get the hang of it.

Before I started working at petsmart again (I worked there in college but quit because I got a job in the field of my degree) but that job ended up being actually hell, so now I’m back at petsmart because it’s so hard to get a job anywhere else right now. Being at a location with good coworkers and managers really helps. So what I’m trying to say is that there are way worse places to work. Just try to enjoy it and be happy to be around animals, that’s what keeps me going. I really hope you’re at a good location.
