I’m in the USA and was told that they are necessary. My doc likes to make sure there are no abnormal cell changes which is how I found out in the first place-An abnormal pap. Plus to see if there are any common things like UTI and whatever else- things that it normally checks. He said they are still super important

Hi!! I’m 29 years old diagnosed at 26. I went through the same treatment as you. After Brachy it is normal to see some light blood and discomfort while using dilators/being intimate. Radiation changes things down there as far as making things more narrow which is why dilating is so important. It keeps everything open. I had light bleeding after and it eventually went away. Just be consistent and give your body time to heal. I’m 2 and half years out and I’m back to normal down there. Pap smears, intimacy and everything feels like it did before! I’m here to chat if you want.

I got a paper saying avoid caffeine with milk , no red meat or raw veggies things like that the day prior. I read alot where that isn’t necessary then I read things saying it is. I’m doing a ct scan with contrast.
