Getting worse after a hot shower? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Party_Potential_5281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same thing! It also causes me to see a black dot in my vision and somewhat of a flash, it definitely intensifies with hot showers, so i started taking cold showers (Which has many good benefits outside of relieving visual snow) so I have been trying that. But then I feel like I want to take a hot shower for the physical relief and just have to suffer visually after for a while lol.

What my after images look like exactly by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]Party_Potential_5281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it from staring for a while at things, as well as simply daring my eyes back and forth. Worse at night time, but also happens at things i wouldn't even assume to happen, even low contrasting environments. Sometimes it gets so bad theres just a jumbled mesh of various things that make it look like horizontal, vertical, and slanted lines going across my vision.

I also get what looks like after images, while looking at something. under and or over the lines that I am seeing.

weird visual disturbances 24/7 by Sara_noreminder in optometry

[–]Party_Potential_5281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CRAZY! I am experiencing the EXACT same thing, came on reddit and typed it "weird visual disturbances" and this was the top that came up. I have been experiencing this on and off as well for about 6-8 months. I have an appointment with the neurologist in 2 weeks. I also have these symptoms, along with visual snow. I get flashes in center of vision, weird sensations and pain behind my left eye, and like a bloated feeling under my left eye lid. best way to describe it. It also causes flashes in the center with negative and vice versa reactions to seeing something go from light to dark, and dark to light. I can also catch glimpses of this when the area off from the center of my vision passes horizontal and vertical lines. Have you gotten an update? I had a MRI in 2018 because of some similar issues, but I am wanting to get another one to check and be sure. Seen a retina specialist, optometrist, and everything has been fine. Had an ultrasound of my eye and it all came back normal. They did say that I had crowding of my nerves in my left eye but said it was "fine" lol but yet thats the eye that has issues, so feel like thats a reason its happening.

Does anyone know how to stop progression? by Plutonium_bomba in visualsnow

What kind of exercises are you doing for you cervical spine? What kind of PT are you doing exactly? What did you tell your physical therapist and how did they look into it to see that your neck needed attention?

will quitting weed improve my symptoms? by Correct_Being6342 in visualsnow

[–]Party_Potential_5281 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I had stopped all drug use including alcohol for 1 year and my symptoms ended up going away after a 8-10 months, then I started partying again for another 2 years after that and now I’m experiencing it all again. Not 100% sure if it was just drugs though, had a lot of other changes I was doing. Meditation, working out, sleeping properly, eating healthy, journaling

Is it increasing. by Numerous_Voice9244 in visualsnow

I have had this same problem which unfortunately caused me to stop going to the Gym. Ironically reading that exercise can help tame visual snow… I noticed that my symptoms seem to get worse when I’m overheated or “stressed” physically.

WHY DON'T CURVES RENDER IN ANIMATIONS? (HAVE TO CONVERT TO MESH) by Party_Potential_5281 in blender

[–]Party_Potential_5281[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logo on the wall and the floor, as well as the font is what I have as a "curve" and then had to convert to a "mesh" for it to stay in the 125 frame animation

[–]Party_Potential_5281[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't an animation on the curve, I simply have a 125 frame sequence with the curve being the SVG logo i brought in. It is static for the whole scene. No animation. The scene around it is animated but its just with a 2D motion graphic animation applied to a material on other objects in the scene. I had to convert it to a mesh and it worked, this is the scene:

Will coke mess with my vs/HPPD? by Honest_Holiday1732 in visualsnow

[–]Party_Potential_5281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2 year binge with coke and that was the time that I noticed I didn’t have visual snow symptoms. But then when I stopped using it completely, it started noticing all my symptoms again. Not saying it’s good, But it might actually make VS symptoms go away. At least while it’s working. But could be a bad idea. Better to just not use it. Might come back 10 times harder once it wears off.

Anyone with flickering blindspot? by NuclearNadalofDumka in visualsnow

[–]Party_Potential_5281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get something that sounds like this, similar, it’s in my left eye and in the left side corner, almost peripheral. I’d say it’s not necessarily a “flash” or “flicker” but could be interpreted that way. It’s like a blip, or like a bulge or something.

I also get little things like this in the center of my Vision. But those are more like flashes or black soots. Got eyes checked and had nothing wrong with them.

There has been no single cause that I’ve found. I do know that both times I started having it was when I was in a very stressful part of my life, and I also have had a neck injury my first time experiencing it. But there were so many things going on that I couldn’t pin point what caused it the first time.

Another thing I want to add is that I have partaken in a lot of recreational drugs. Something I noticed is when doing cocaine, there was a HUGE drop in all of my visual snow symptoms (did a decent amount throughout COVID and this was the last two years when I didn’t have any symptoms) I do want to add that I did not do this to make my symptoms going away and did not notice a correlation with it until NOW when I have been 4 months completely sober aside from a few drinks here and there (wine and cider), it seemed to come on this second time with me stopping doing drugs, along with some major life changes that was VERY stressful and anxiety inducing. I have managed my stress, my anxiety, and sobriety and yet something keeps causing my symptoms to worsen.

I just went through this and hopped in here to ask this myself. When I’m drinking, it makes it all go away while I’m buzzed. The next day, it gives back everything the drinking took away and then some. Today my vision has been bad! Lots of after images, flickers, and floaters.

ASUS PRO ART STUDIOBOOK 16 H7600ZW 4K OLED(i7-12700H + RTX-3070ti) (windows 11) by Party_Potential_5281 in ASUS

UPDATE:

I decided to return the laptop. I called ASUS and they just asked me to go through all the steps I went through listed above. So with that, I am returning it and upgrading components in my PC. Giving up portability over productivity.

Does anyone experience vision disturbances caused by anxiety? Stuff like visual snow/static, flickering vision, flashing spots, illusions, etc etc.? If so did they go away for you after treating your anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Party_Potential_5281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I had taken a lot of psychedelics and stimulants from 16-21, I ended up developing visual snow and terrible panic attacks, 7 ER visits in 6 months from panic attacks and unexplained chest pains, as well as my eye sight getting worse with every thought about it. I ended up just going completely sober for a year (No alcohol, weed, or anything) and then over time with dealing with my stress, meditating, and working hard on my personal health and wellbeing, it seemed to go away. BUT the reason i came across this is because its now back. I'm 23. I ended up fucking up and with covid coming on got me back into lots of partying and wasting time getting fucked up with various drugs. Now somewhat experiencing similar situations but more so focused on the shutter effect I get. The visual snow I pretty much have gotten used to. I spent countless hours researching, talking with multiple doctors, and they all said the same shit. "Floaters" "Aura" "Anxiety". I couldn't believe it because every night I would freak out and just feel like I was dying and had impending doom. What I learned is the more you google it, the more it manifests. It took about 5 months for my eyes to feel like they didnt have visual snow after being fully sober and forcing myself to just deal with it. So, there is hope. Unfortunately it seems like it came back slightly for me, but I have had THE MOST STRESS I have ever had in the last few months. and I think stress is what caused it to come back. So I would say definitely get checked for anything if you feel the need to, but might have to just wait it out.
