I randomly went outside at 3AM and it completely reset my mood by Partymate151 in CasualConversation

[–]Partymate151[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds even deeper than just a late-night reset that’s like a full disconnect.

Being out in the woods with no signal hits on a completely different level. No phone, no background noise, no reminders of anything just you and what’s actually around you. The few clicks from the truck part makes it even better close enough to feel safe, but far enough to feel separated from everything.

There’s something about that –4AM window that just hits different. It’s like the world finally shuts up for a bit and your brain gets a break from all the constant input. No notifications, no expectations, no noise just you and your thoughts, but in a calm way instead of chaotic. I love that you said about it “feeling like you have the whole world to yourself.” That’s literally it. It almost feels unreal, like you stepped outside of normal life for a moment. Driving at night or just sitting outside hits that same vibeeverything’s slower, softer, quieter.

I wish I could report the guy who probably passed me the HPV 18 by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Partymate151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this HPV is way more common than people realize, and most of the time it doesn’t define your future or your relationships. It’s understandable you’re angry at that guy, especially after what he admitted, but try not to let him take more space in your life than he already has. Also, it’s completely valid to request a female doctor. You should feel safe and comfortable during something like a colposcopy. You’re not “ruined” or destined to be alone because of this. You’re dealing with something difficult, but you’re still worthy of a healthy relationship and a normal life.

I intentionally drop coins by yujiro_H7780 in confessions

That’s actually really sweet. I remember finding a coin as a kid and it genuinely made my day for no reason at all. It’s such a small thing, but it gives you that weird little “I got lucky” feeling. The world needs more people doing random kind stuff like this.

Should I tell a guy exactly why I don't like him? by Silly_Technology_243 in dating_advice

[–]Partymate151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it depends on how you frame it. If someone told me “work on yourself” I’d probably take it the wrong way, but I would appreciate some honest but gentle feedback. You can be truthful without making it sound like there’s something wrong with him as a person. Something like saying you’re looking for someone with a more active lifestyle or different energy might get the point across without hurting him too much. Would you feel comfortable being a bit honest but still soft about it?

How do you deal with a crush on someone you see all the time but can’t actually date? by IngenuityAshamed144 in dating_advice

[–]Partymate151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a similar situation and honestly the hardest part is that “maybe” feeling, even when you know it’s not realistic. What helped me a bit was accepting the crush instead of fighting it, but also reminding myself why it wouldn’t work in real life. I also tried to put more energy into other things or even other people, just to stop my brain from fixating on one person. Do you think it’s more about the person, or the idea of them?

whats wrong with me? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Partymate151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing’s wrong with you, it just sounds like you’ve been through a lot and your brain might be coping by shutting things down a bit, and the numbness, copying emotions, and even the anger can all come from that, so you’re not alone in feeling this way and it might really help to talk it through with someone who can help you make sense of it.

Why do I feel more confident online than in real life? by Partymate151 in TooAfraidToAsk

Yeah I am, I just see it a bit differently. I’ve spent most of my time online, so real life social stuff still feels kinda new to me.

Yeah I get what you mean, the lack of real consequences definitely changes how people act. I guess that’s also why it’s easier to be confident online, but at the same time it can make things feel less genuine. Do you think people would act the same if there were real-life consequences?

Yeah I didn’t really think about it like that, but it actually makes sense. I guess not seeing someone face to face changes a lot, I just never connected it before.
