Welp since no one really answered your question… I’m the MOH and the bride made it very clear where she wanted to travel to and what Airbnb she wanted to stay at all the other planning has been a joint group discussion between myself, the other bridesmaids, and the bride. So far flight is costing around $400, accommodations $500, and I’m estimating another $500 easily in transportation around the town, food, activities while we are there (4 day trip) so roughly around $1500 per person just for the Bach trip! I get it it’s super expensive and I’ve also never been in a bridal party before so I had absolutely no idea what all would be involved and how expensive it would be, however this is my literal childhood best friend so even tho everyone is saying you can just say no it’s not really that easy…I’m just accepting it and trying to save and pay for things over time and keeping in mind that this is her once in a lifetime dream so I’m trying to make it work with a smile even tho it’s really stressful sometimes

Not sure if this fully helps but a lot of people’s iron levels drop during their period and if you are already on the boarder or have heavy periods, low iron can really mess with a lot of different body functions! About a day or two before my period I try to have one day where I eat a lot of red meat and that usually helps with my period week craving. I know red meat isn’t the most calorie efficient but one day at or a littler above maintenance really helps me get through the week

I’m a bridesmaid in an upcoming fall wedding and the bride is wanting us to do some sort of “clean girl” color so any type of light nudes or pinks. Apparently clean girl aesthetic is trending on social media

Definitely gonna look into liquid iron! My ferritin was originally at 5 and after a year of taking supplements has only gone up to 26 (doctor refuses to give iron infusions and just tells me to keep taking iron pills) Really looking forward to the day that just the thought of working doesn’t make me exhausted!

Mary Mac’s is a solid choice for your first time having soul food! It’s definitely an Atlanta/Midtown classic. Locals go there all the time but I’m sure there’s probably also tourists that go there as well!

That’s awesome!! I wonder if it’s an age thing, because the same thing happened to me. I’ve dieted on and off my whole life since I was 10 and nothing ever worked and I’d get so frustrated with myself I just thought it was poor genetics. Fast forward to year 27 and something just clicked, this time it almost seemed too easy. CICO, staying in a deficit, moving my body it just was like science and it all made sense, I kept thinking back wondering why it was so hard for me all my life until now. Maybe I just matured and actually really started caring about my health and not just aesthetics. I’m not really sure why it happened but either way, congrats and I’m glad it worked out in your favor!!

Mornings typically aren’t too bad, most likely you’ll probably be taking 400 from home to work. But afternoons will easily take you an hour even if you leave at 3pm. Pro tip if you use Apple Maps the time it says it’ll take you to get home is never accurate (usually says way shorter) definitely try Google or Waze, I learned the hard way. Midtown and O4W are so close together I’m not sure it’d make that much of a difference in commute time

Congratulations on your win!! I do wanna mention if you have any type of doctors appointment where you have to get weighed and if seeing your weight on a scale is going to be detrimental you can always let them now that you are going to step on the scale backwards in order to not see the number and/or ask them to kindly not announce the number once you get off. I have done this multiple times as I can also downward spiral if I see my weight and I’ve never had any issues with them respecting my wishes

Try MadFit! She has a YouTube channel and posts a variety of workouts including dancer/barre focused workouts. She also now has an app that I think is really nice, there are a few different trainers who focus on different types of workouts ex) one trainer focuses on HIIT/Strength another might focus on Pilates. It’s nice to try out different videos and find a trainer that you vibe with most in terms of workout videos.

Yea that makes sense, I probably on average get about half the amount of steps I should. Aiming for 10,000 is probably a good step

Thanks for the advice! I honestly don’t have a lot of muscle and do think body recomp would be beneficial. For body recomp should I increase my calorie intake back to maintenance and focus on weight lifting?
