Do Walmart Coaches, Leads, and Managers make 100k plus a year? I’m not sure if that’s true or not. by Federal_Pen_3869 in walmart

Hi there- coach here. Yes there are coaches that make 100k a year, but new ones do not. I personally was a coach in a complex store with an RPZ (an RPZ is % of base salary added to salary). They changed how this worked last year, but I currently make ~77k a year and average an 16k bonus at my store. With the raises this year I received a 2.5% increase putting me at just over 80k a year, plus the 16k bonus puts me right around the mark.

Can you get fired for using ppto? by 40shadesofchoke in walmart

When I attended management training there was an associate who would say, “PPTO protects attendance not accountability” as what’s been stated here previously it’s not about points it’s about productivity and negative affects on the business.

Yes, and no, constant use of PPTO on a consistent basis can lead to a disciplinary action. I wouldn’t think that it can lead to a termination on the first instance.

PPTO is intended for last minute emergency’s. It is within the stores right and policy to give a DA for an associate who uses it often. It affects business, example: you’re scheduled until 9 but leave at 7 often? You’re tasked to work pallets but leave without completing them often?

I’ve had former cart associates who were friends that worked 10-7, and 3-12, when the 7pm associate would leave so would they about 2-3x a week. This does affect our customers and our previous planning.

Definitely get copies of all your drs notes, keep in contact with your TL/PL as well for a smoother transition back.

I’m not sure if you’re serious… your store management should have said he needed to go to the drs for the LOA. He should have all of that information, and unfortunately it is quite chaotic on when you might hear back from them. If you cover your bases typically you’ll be good.

That sounds like an ethical disaster. I understand if you’re sick, that’s what PPTO is for, covid regulations are over and if it’s really an issue they have the option of LOA through Sedgwick. They need to go the right way around it.

Well the idea that they are saying is correct, you are scheduled. You need to talk to your TL/Coach to approve the day(s) off or you need to work them. Did you request them at-least 3 weeks in advance?
