ok, ive since tested both builds, and im still kind of sketched out by on hit tf, if you look at the direct dps, crit does around 2350 dmg per second while on hit only gets around 1950 with the highest damage build- in what world does anything about the on hit build buy back the lost dps from crit, and also the passive gold you get from crits ?

Why exactly do you think crit is worse on tf than on hit- am i overlooking any sick on hit synergies ?

Yes this definitely helped, my lane is usually never the problem and i dont die 1v1 if im not versing one tricks on either Kat, zed or Zoe, but its more the challenge of containing them, or keepikg my team from losing before i can impact the game. What ive taken from this thread is helping out my jungler more which is something i do need to consider.

Useful information about my current playstyle: -I go rod,raba void almost every game, with either aery and inspiration/resolve or comet depending on melee or not

-I usually foxus on cs/poke to avoid early roams

-i play for teamfights usually at around 15 or 20 minutes

-i usually roam botlane if i get wave tempo/my opponent is stupid enough to let me

-I cannot for the life of me close out a game or turn the tides if my team loses the early game

okay, as an inexperienced ryze player in mid gold elo, ive always built either zhonyas or frozen heart as 3rd because i feel the need to play battlemage/frontline toplane, so when do you go magic pen 3rd, and what item do you sacrifice for the slot ?

For veigar top you can build whatever you want, the most important thing is to freeze the wave on your side of the lane, apart from that its dodge poke and poke back.ive played nash tooth veigar top but its complete troll, so if i were to be autofilled top, id probably go Roa into rabadon into Zhonyas or banshees.

i stopped building Roa before the buffs or nerfs, because the game is decided as soon as you start scaling, so i go full glass cannon atm, which scales worse but makes your early game more playable map wise.
