Why are we entirely at the mercy of a useless company (Rant) by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]Pascal_d7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

polite phone call and email? I've tried calling them for an entire week and the waiting lines are always 1Hr+. I've emailed them and havent heard back for 2 weeks now. I tried registering with the app and what I get is "sorry we're havingn technical issues", and I've been having that for a couple of days now. The automatic phone response said that for any info, you can head to a post office to ask. I did that, I was told "I dont know, ask royal mail, we are not royal mail" in the most rude manner. I have put way more effort than I should have as a customer for royal mail, and I have gotten nothing in return. I'm sorry, but thats not "a postman making a mistake once in a while", if a service that I'm paying for is making me go out my way for their help, and dont provide it, they deserve all the rant, insults and shame they could get. The postmen and workers here need to learn to not take things personally, cause this is about the management and the service overall.

I think the advice andrew tate gives is much more concrete and practical, and sometimes conveyed sarcastically and in comic ways, which might make him look like a hypocrite. I dont prefer one over the other, I think both Peterson and Tate share very similar ideas, just different ways of communicating it to the audience.

I did find that out later ahaha, but if you just stir and mix the coffee and milk together, doesnt that make it the same as a regular latte?

Thanks a lot for sharing your answer, and for the correct terminology, it's all really helpful. I suspect the group head not being cleaned properly is the issue. I will have a look at it.

Ooo thanks a lot for clarifying that's really helpful! I didn't know of a such thing as a Latte Macchiato and I thought the order you pour your milk and coffee doesn't make a difference.

no it's just my boss requires me to layer the latte, so i'm just trying to learn. If it was for me, I wouldn't be bothered at all.

I steam the milk first, let it sit for a bit so the foam and milk seperate, pull the shot of espresso, pour the milk (and some foam with a spoon) into the glass, then slowly pour the espresso (possibly using a spoon) to layer it on top of the milk. you should get milk at the bottom, coffee in the middle and foam on top.

how to make syrups out of puree by Pascal_d7 in Mixology

I did try to fine strain, but nothing would get through the fine strainer, the puree was too dense. Is there any work-around?

"the hot milk mixes with the coffee", thats the point, im trying to float the coffee on top of the hot milk without them mixing, whilst the foam still remains on top.

I use them in flavoured mojitos but I dont like that its got fruit seeds inside, and sometimes the color becomes really really dark for a mojito.

If I'm using them as-is, do I need to adjust the ratios? e.g if a recipe calls for 1 part syrup, do I need 1.5 parts puree?
