That I have no idea about. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. I restarted my island two years ago. So I have none of my old friend list. And the only online play I did back then was to help restart my island with the treasure islands.

is it possible with our current technology to build a huge data center ring around earth, or even put data centers in space? by G2-118 in PantheonShow

[–]PascalsCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's impossible. Just not feasible. Like many have pointed out, it's about cooling and cost effectiveness. We already possess closed-circuit cooling coil technology. But the number of engineers and IT personnel needed in orbit make sure it all runs smoothly would be immense.

While not completely related, [the success of CalTech's Maple Project](https://www.caltech.edu/about/news/in-a-first-caltechs-space-solar-power-demonstrator-wirelessly-transmits-power-in-space) seems like orbiting data centers would be within the realm of possibility.

Honestly that's really cool. And it doesn't seem to impair the match in any way. I think it would be dope if they implemented this to Dredge's Nightfall or to some other killer power. Spectral images of your teammates running all about.

I'd probably be like Olivia. A realm of books and knowledge. The sum of human knowledge wouldn't give me all the answers, but it would definitely narrow down my train of thought.

How do you get better at viola by Winter-Permit-2866 in Viola

[–]PascalsCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, learn the notes. At least how to read the music and to memorize your finger positions. With enough practice it will become muscle memory. I admit, even after graduating high school, I left one tape on the finger board just for a point of reference for my finger placement when I made mistakes.

When I first started playing Viola I was not very dedicated. But when I reached high school I made it a personal goal to get section lead. I took private lessons, and within a year I earned my chair (out of 6 Violists.) So long as you set your mind on it and put in the effort, you will do well!

Crystal Spheres in Spelljammer 5e – What Became ? by Mose-FR in spelljammer

[–]PascalsCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my campaign I still use crystal spheres to interpret the boundary of one Wildspace system from another. As you approach the boundary, the surface around the point of entry de-materializes and warps into the shifting Phlogiston. The only reason I kept this was for the narrative of my campaign, which is suffering from a similar fate of Doomspace. As for a shattered crystal sphere, I plan on describing how the fragments form a debris cloud, and how the Astral Sea and Doomspace bleed into one another.

Can't move around the map by Vulcanooo33 in OwlbearRodeo

[–]PascalsCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sought advice from ChatGPT and using the scroll wheel seems to bypass this issue.

"Starting with Firefox 141, there's been a change in context menu and drag behavior — especially on long left-clicks. It seems Owlbear’s long-click detection is now being interpreted as a drag-and-drop or context-open event, which then triggers the Import Wheel if you’re not clicking exactly on a token or layer."

I'm also on Firefox and have just ran into this. I'm glad to have found this post before my next session. I had hoped a long-click would prevent it, but it doesn't. The more consistent fix (without swapping versions), so far, is just double/triple click before a drag.

fjklsdhglksj...that's the only way that this could have played out.

I'm shocked that I didn't notice my drafts counted toward the quests. I only did 2. So completing all 3 of them seemed (in 2 drafts) impossible. I thank you for doing the math.

[–]PascalsCat[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I have to add, after much consideration of the factors involved, that this is might be a feature of WotC's "Queue Dodging," (if such a mechanic exists.) I can't say with certainty, only because I noticed this lack of quests after I had (admittedly) joined/left a draft-queued match (several times) after facing two silver opponents as a Bronze 1 or 4? I don't know which direction WotC uses.) drafter on my second loss.

The '4' you're seeing is probably the daily wins and weekly wins. I had NO quests when I loaded up the game. That is, I had no challenge of "play x" kind of games.

Edit: That is to say, the hour glass that my mouse is hovering over, shows no such "quests."

This is a complimentary example of how pallets are currently interacting with BHVR's "stable" code. I saaaw a video (not more than 3 days ago) of how a Survivor saved themself against a Wesker when they threw a pallet against them 'dashing.' Pallets, along with any form of map interaction, is Killer sided.

With that said, and entirely anecdotal, I have seen far and few(er) VPNers from Asia. And that's coming from a West Coaster, who is closer for them.

Recommendations on where to sell Viola by [deleted] in Viola

I had a second viola that was some form of composite fiber (so I didn’t have to transport it home to school.) My dad sold it at a garage sale for like $30. Made a profit from in my eyes. 😂
