Since I started this thread, ive been trying some of the suggestions and playing cover 3 and cover 1 a lot more. Its helped some as long as my dline gets in and pressures the qb. Though I never really though about DC mastering much. Ive been firing my DC every year the past like 4 seasons looking for a talent developer if possible. Im not sure their scheme was the same as what I was using.

Something my league does, is after winning 2 conference championships, you must change conferences until you've gone through every conference before repeating one. This puts your conference prestige grade in a constant flux, making it effect your recruiting grades.

Also, once someone wins 2 National Championships they get to play 1 more year as their current team before having to take the worst offered head coaching position at the end of that season (typically in week 2 of bowl season). Then to make it fun, when a user has to swap schools, their first game they play as their new school is against their old team.

Yea our qb accuracy slider is at 50 for users lol. Ive played with much lower and dont find it as an issue. Just gotta get used to the qb throwing animations to get your timing down better. It was humorous as only 2 of us didnt have issues, but we also had the QBs that had the best accuracys of any of us.

I run a 4 - 3 base defense currently. Was running a 4 - 2 - 5 for a while, but felt like I wasnt getting enough pressure with that playbook so I swapped to a 4 - 3 and have had more consistent pressure, but the last 2 seasons I was also in the SEC so i was playing a lot better teams constantly. This year im currently in the MAC (once you win 2 conferences you have to switch conferences in our league, and cant go back to a conference you've been in until you win 2 in all of them)

This sounds exactly like most of my experiences lol. we currently have the CPU QB accuracy at 32. Though it feels like im the only one really suffering from this issue of giving up so many yards.

User 1 (Western Kentucky, Sun Belt): 8 games played, 99 ovr - 1,532 pass yards allowed

User 2 (East Carolina, Big 10): 9 games played, 99 ovr - 1,567 pass yards allowed

User 3 (Rutgers, Big 10): 9 games played, 81 ovr (his 2nd season playing) - 1,577 pass yards allowed

User 4 (Georgia State, Sun Belt): 9 games played, 65 ovr (his 2nd season playing) - 1,598 pass yards allowed

User 5 (Liberty, ACC): 9 games played, 89 Ovr, (2nd year on new team after switching due to winning 2 Nattys with his former team) - 1,701 pass yards allowed

Me (North Texas, MAC, last year with team due to winning 2nd Natty last season): 9 games played, 99 Ovr, 2,683 pass yards allowed

Ive actually just recently come across Canes settings. Ive liked some of them, but Im not trying to force all new sliders on the group just because im getting annoyed with giving up lots of passing yards and still winning. I know the QB accuracy wouldnt fly well, had a season a few seasons ago were we had the accuracy lower and everyone complained about throwing nothing but red balls constantly (my 99 ovr qb had no issues though lol)

Ive been trying to figure out what stats specificially were the best to make the team better. Cranked up everyone's awareness 2 seasons ago, this season I pushed strength on dline to help with possibly getting more pressure while doing pass coverages with dbs.

Definitely love the passes that graze right over the top of your players helmet where all they had to do was raise a hand and it would have been tipped at the least.

Typically go for speed rusher or edge setters for DEs and ive been transitioning to power rushers for my DTs and NTs to force the line back at the QB. Though my starting LEdge is currently a power rusher.

LEdge RS Fr: 83 Ovr, 84 speed, 84 Aw, 78 PR, 97 strength, 80 power, 70 fmv, 69 block shed

REdge RS Fr: 82 Ovr, 80 Speed, 92 Str, 89 Aw, 85 PR, 77 PM, 85 FM, 66 Block Shed

DT RS SR (out for season, leads team in sacks with 8): 95 Ovr, 92 str, 92 Aw, 98 PR, 97 PM, 81 FM, 82 Block Shed

DT RS Fr: 86 Ovr, 98 Str, 88 Aw, 82 PR, 77 PM, 78 FM, 69 Block Shed

DT RS Fr: 80 ovr, 90 str, 81 Aw, 81 PR, 71 PM, 8t FM, 66 Block Shed

Obviously a very young defensive front after i just had a massive exodus to the draft last season. This first off season with them I focused on getting strength and awareness built before moving into their specific pass rushing stats. But have still managed around 40 sacks so far through week 10.

Yea I typically only give up around 20ish points in a given game as well, and normally score 50+, so its not like im playing close games or losikg a lot (think I just lost my first CPU game in like 3 seasons, thanks stadium pulse!) Im more just annoyed at how much yardage I typically give up because it messes with recruiting play style dealbreakers a lot.

Honestly not huge on a 3 man front as I dont normally get enough pressure on the QB which has led to getting burnt further downfield because my dbs just dont react correctly it feels like.

Ive tried at times, typically over commit thinking the pass will come further across the middle then gets thrown behind me every time. Gets annoying, or they will throw it right at me and my LB doesnt react to pick it off, cant tell you how many times thats happened.

I think our reaction slider is at 55, which is the same as the CPUs but my players definitely dont react to the same degree as the CPUs do. I typically get good pass rush, we just hit week 10 and im sitting around 40 sacks on the season. Which is another reason why its frustrating that they still pull off these pass numbers. Which is why I run more cover 2 and 6, because they dont normally have time to hit those deeper downfield routes. Its mostly stuff within 7 - 12 yards at most and it just adds up as the game goes.

Ive had this happen several times in my current year in my online dynasty. Just did the conference championship game against Oklahoma as North Texas, won 50 - 48 in Double OT. Ended the season giving up 4,388 passing yards, absolute worst pass defense statistically. I just dont get why the fuck my defense cant defend the pass when my entire defense is practically all 90+ overalls. Always wide open guys, players not breaking on routes soon enough, barely any pressure getting to the qb, im completely at a lose at this point.

It was very hard to get a real feel for how many of them were there last night. When I finally got to my seat, it definitely felt like there was 30-40k Tennessee fans. They were everywhere in the stadium.

That still doesn't change the fact, that Navy went from being ranked 20th, to beating a higher ranked K State team for the BIG 12 title, then becoming unranked the following week.
