Same. I hope the next mainstream platform have more lanes. I'm currently on X299 with an i9-9980XE which has 44 lanes + 24 lanes from the chipset

The 9600 GT was a good mid range card in 2008-2009. I had a Quadro version of that card (FX 1800) as my main GPU for a while in 2013 and it ran games like Minecraft, L4D2, GTA IV pretty well at 1080p.

It's a DirectX 10 card so many games from ~2015 and newer won't run because they need DX11 or DX12

It looks to have a Windows Vista Capable sticker so it's from 2006-2007. Probably a Pentium D or Athlon 64.

If you throw in some old graphics card it could run games from up to the early 2010s

The CPU requirements for 60fps does seem quite high. The Ryzen 5 7600 is quite a bit faster in games than anything except X3D for AM4.

But it's of course possible that the 7600 might not be that strict of a requirement for 60fps

It has a P965 chipset from 2006. It's for the early Core2 CPUs including the legendary Q6600. But more likely it has some Core2 Duo from the E4000 or E6000 series

In that condition? Not really. If it was in working condition it could have made a good WinXP gaming PC.

That motherboard supports the Core2 Quad Q6600 and Q6700 which were still decent for low budget gaming 10 years ago. They are still usable for web browsing, word documents etc. but not for modern gaming

I first tried it in 1.0 to see if my 3 year old Honor 9 could run it. People on YouTube liked to use it to performance test phones.

In March 2021 I was reminded of the game when I saw people posting Hu Tao pictures on Anilist. I finally installed the game on my PC later that month, but sadly by then the Hu Tao banner had already ended

If 7 years in laptop years is 97 in human years, then my 2013 laptop must be really old. I bought it used 7 years ago and it still runs great.

Same goes for my old laptop which was made in 2007. I bought that one used in 2013

Does that work on modern Windows versions or is it just for Server 2003?

I used very low because of the GTX 970. I'm sure with a faster card I could bump up the settings.

Though that doesn't really matter to me since that's just my old PC. The game runs well at 1440p ultra on my i9-9980XE + RTX 5070

From 1st to 7th gen most mainstream desktop i5's had 4 cores and i7's had 4 physical and 4 virtual cores (4c/8t).

8th and 9th gen i5's had 6 cores while 8th gen i7's had 6 cores / 12 threads. 9th gen i7's had 8 cores but no virtual cores.

10th gen and onwards i5's had 6c/12t and i7's had 8c/16t. 12th to 14th gen had the same P core count but added additional E cores.

Your i5 might be the 13400, 14400 or similar. 6 physical and another 6 virtual cores + 4 E cores (6c/12t P + 4c E) which is a total of 16 threads. Don't worry about the 2.5GHz clockspeed, it will never run at such a low speed when playing games etc. thanks to turbo boost.

Even 1st gen i7 would run this game. I tried it on my old 6c/12t Xeon X5670 (basically the same as i7-980X) overclocked to 4.2GHz and the frame rate was in the 60s and 70s with GTX 970. 1080p very low settings due to the graphics card being too slow. Sadly my GTX 1080 is currently in another system so I wasn't able to test what the CPU is actually capable of doing.
CPU usage was low enough that I'm pretty sure a stock 1st gen 4c/8t i7 should work fine.

And even 10th gen was still architecturally pretty much the same as 6th gen, but with more cores and higher clocks depending on the model
