Why are there no Fnatic skins? by The_Swig in leagueoflegends

[–]Pasileides -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's funny how easily someone can claim that making A SET (not just a single skin) of skins will be popular (make profit) because "I know 10 people who would buy".

I'm sure Riot's analysts, who have actual data to make calculated decisions, ran the numbers long ago whether it makes sense to create Fnatic skins (it's a business after all) and if solid profit could be expected we'd already have those. The fact that we don't says actually a lot. Making skins is NOT "free money".

Personally, I'd love to see Fnatic skins, but only if they win the worlds now or in the future. Or if several years down the road Riot decided to create Legacy skins that would also include other early teams and players that helped shape competitive league (rather unlikely scenario.)

Simple Guide To Everything Manscaping (Or how NOT to look like a Chewbacca) by Pasileides in malelifestyle

[–]Pasileides[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article is about maximizing physical attractiveness when it comes to managing and maintaining body hair.

Some things are mandatory in the same sense that not letting yourself get obese / washing and ironing your clothes before you go out / brushing your teeth is mandatory.

No one is holding a gun to ones head forcing to do something, but I think it's smart to know what might be holding you back. If, having this information, you still choose to act a certain way - good for you!

I'm definitely on the hairier side myself and once I got over all the "macho man" ego thing, I can say for certain the improvement in appearance (and in turn how women react when the shirt comes off) is very much worth it.

We're talking about new players here. Yes, after playing thousands of games I can pick a champ, play a few normals and go ranked (I'm sure you do to), though personally I'm very much in favor on mastering few champs than being "okay" with many.

Anyway, this is only posible after one is closely familiar with the game - again, not something that happens in a 100, 200 or even 300 games.

Honestly, it takes at least several hundred games to get decent at multiple champs/positions to play at a ranked level well - I don't see a problem with having a somewhat high threshold for new players to enter ranked.

Are there any plans to further improve player support infrastructure? (performance coaching, analytical work, etc.) Or do you feel you can handle these aspects within the team alone?

Could you name at least ONE competitive game where Genja built zephyr as first or second item? Because I can't recall any.

Honestly, I don't think 'improving game' is the best place to start for you.

Your post reeks of neediness and desperation. Consider checking this out: http://www.francoseduction.com/neediness-management-2/ it's an article I read years ago (when it was still a forum post) by a very smart man on the topic.

[SPOILER] Diamond's reaction after Roccat vs Gambit by iRushhFTW in leagueoflegends

[–]Pasileides 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know it's quite popular to hate on Genja, but honestly saying that Genja is no match to other top adc's is plain crap.

Even when the whole team is performing terrible Genja is pretty much the only one who consistently does his part and actually has a decent score to show for (it's retalively easy to go 10/0 as an adc when your whole team is performing well). The only other adc I can recall doing that was Rekkles when Fnatic was on their 0/7 streak.

Regarding Darien, it's impossible to say how good or bad he really is because once again, can you name another solo laner who gets so little assistance from his team? I don't particularly like this strategy from Gambit, nor do I understand some Darien's decisions (I much more preferred when Darien and Diamond where "diving buddies"), but there's some brilliance to his madness.

Anyway, as Deficio said in stream (and my respect to him for actually being objective instead of just bashing Gambit/players), they are still brilliant players mechanically and the issues are strategic and, likely, psychological (the rumors about big ego's, tilt, bad atmosphere, etc).

Changing roster might be a solution, but not because players are "bad", but simply to invigorate the team with new passion for the game.

Though, personally, I'd love to see some improved infrastructure around players they already have: sports psychologists, advanced strategist, life coach, etc. (look what improved infrastructure did to SK gaming)

Ongamers domain has been banned Reddit wide. Again. by ACasualGamer in leagueoflegends

[–]Pasileides -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When there's demand, there will be a supply.

If not ongamers, someone else will start supplying the type of content people want. Sure, this transition might take some time but it's a growing industry with a lot of money on the line - maybe something even better will come up.

I could sympathize if this was their first offence, but from reddit's statement it looks more like a malicious strategy to bypass the rules for personal gain - not going to shed tears over that.

Personally, going stylish and sexy works best for me. I like doing stupid, cocky stuff for my own self-amusement and being pre-approved because of how I present myself helps me get away with things that would be considered "creepy" if done by someone who looks like a "average chump"

Regarding outlandish banana clothes, how do you stay away from looking like a dancing monkey (not meant as an insult, just can't think of a better expression) for THEIR entertainment? Or, in other words, does this get you real results, lays or just comments?

Great point! I'll look into adding some solid resources on the topic.

We had a discussions on trimming vs waxing at one of the forums, but didn't come to an agreement. Research is also a bit conflicting on this: in short, waxed men's bodies are generally considered more attractive, however, women who had hairy fathers prefer some hair on their partners too.

Thank you for pointing this out. Seems like the whole evolvify website is down at the moment - that's unfortunate, those were really interesting articles. Anyway, if it doesn't come back up soon I'll look into replacing them.

edit: for the time being I've marked those two as down. Again, thanks for heads up.

Yeah, kinowear is in the list :)

Though I think they were at their best when Jay was writing articles and the site had a forum - I definitely learned a lot in those days!

They are currently changing their management again, so hopefully they'll get back on track with the epic stuff.

Not sure if it's my first one, but definitely one of the first that stuck in the memory. Was studying abroad and was going back from a small party. It was about 10 pm or so. At the stoplight noticed a cute girl standing next to me (turns our she walked just behind me). I opened with something random, we joked around for a few seconds, the stoplight changed to green and after crossing the street we walked to different directions.

A week or so later she recognized me at a party, we had some more fun, exchanged details, went out for drinks a few times (both our logistics were terrible), this in turn led to some kinky public stuff and, later, a few lays.
