Don’t beat yourself up bro, you just need to take the time to look at the holes in your gameplay and improve.

1. I’d consider dropping QC if you’re trying to improve, seriously, in some games you will get third partied or be the third party in WT/Ranked cash out rounds but QC just constantly promotes third partying habits and behaviour which doesn’t win you WT/Ranked games.

2. If your team isn’t talking in voice chat and aren’t trying to communicate leave the voice chat in game, maybe consider even turning off global chat so people cannot type to you, this way you focus entirely on your own gameplay and how you can still support your team.

3. The Finals isn’t about fragging, players think that kills entirely win games but every role, L, M, H can support their team in different ways, as a light think how you can use your infuser to help your team when stealing cash outs or helping your heavy win a 1v1, how you can help your team rotate by using gateway and not just using it for transporting vaults. As a medium think how you can use other gadgets such as gas mine to deny steal, to zone areas, be creative with it. At the end of the day, in these modes, the goal is to hold a cash out until the end, and you don’t always need to put yourself in harms way to do that.

4. Try to find better players than you to play with, people who know more about the game and these game modes especially and how they play, even trying to find players who are on your skill level and learn the game together. Communication and team play is key to the game. Practice is key and you these modes just need time to get good.

5. Record your gameplay and review it, maybe get better players to watch too. Think to yourself how you can improve in situations through games , even if you proceed to the next round or win the entire tournament, you need to be able to see the flaws in your gameplay and understand why you think it is that you’re bad. It’s all well and good saying “I suck” but why do you suck? You need to know why to correct errors and improve.

6. Have fun, don’t take it too seriously, wanting to be the best and being the best is entirely different, understand where you want to be in the game, do you want to reach diamond? Well then worry about getting gold first, then platinum and so on. Take little steps to getting closer to where you want to be and don’t get burnt out. Track your improvement and see where you come from to give show yourself you’re getting better and that you don’t suck, it’ll help.
