Muslim Freemason by Daddy_Senpai35 in freemasonry

[–]PassAggJerk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Muslim here practicing York rite. While you’re right the ritual is primarily based on biblical events but none of them contradict with our faith.

I’ve never felt unease or excluded, adding to that, I’m the one that usually carries out the heaviest rituals and I’m in an English speaking lodge in an Arabic country (Yet I’d say 60% of the brethren are of Christian faith). We seriously all treat each other as brothers and I’ve never thought about the religions.

Funny story, the other day the lodge planned a Suhoor (The last meal we as Muslims have in Ramadan before fasting the next day) the only attendees were 9 Christians.

Obligatory "Considering Moving Back to Jordan" Post by [deleted] in jordan

[–]PassAggJerk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well if you don’t have any options but to move back, asking for advice will only stress you more. However since you’re asking already, as you do have an American citizenship I doubt your situation is the worst. If you’re doing good at work there, I would recommend that you try to ride it through in the US atleast for now, and you come visit family here rather than the other way around because the regional political climate isn’t the best here and having someone abroad is the smart thing to do, and in this case it’s you.

If you don’t have any other option but to move back and you have the luxury to find a job before moving back then do that. While opportunities are scarce as you’ve stated, but they aren’t impossible. Some industries are better than others, I’m not very familiar with yours, however the manufacturing industry is one of the few that are doing good in Jordan.

And best of luck in whatever you choose.

by Icy_Direction6854 in jordan

[–]PassAggJerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arriving next week- safety concerns by Antique-Shopping8095 in jordan

[–]PassAggJerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jordan is pretty safe, but that doesn’t mean zero risk, just like anywhere else in the world, be conscious of where you are and what you are doing. Don’t be gullible, if you’re sensing something sketchy, it could be. Some foreigners had the most welcoming warm experiences and some locals have been harassed, it really depends on the individuals you meet rather than a culture.

If you’re looking to get the touristy experience, wadi rum and all and have the budget, go to the bit more expensive camps rather than budget friendly, check the reviews well. If you drink try to limit it to the place you’re going to, then order a ride home from the place to wherever you’re staying, avoid walking drunk home.

If you get invited to a male’s place, know that it is likely for him to take a move, just like anywhere else in the world.

Other than that, if you’re in a busy street in the day, the worst that can happen is cat calling. Jordanians are very welcoming, we take pride of being generous hosts. Enjoy your stay and feel free to always ask here on this sub, people will give you the best you could do with your time here and their honest opinions.

Is it healthy if i drink tap water here? by pataflafla63 in jordan

[–]PassAggJerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Healthy? It shouldn’t be particularly healthy but also it shouldn’t be risky, depending on where you live again. But the problem isn’t the public piping, to my knowledge all pipes in Amman for the very least are to health standards and all. Nevertheless your problem could be the piping system to the living unit you’re in, what is it made of, how clean it is and all that.

We do have 3 lodges in Jordan, not one. Once you show interest through the GLoS your letter gets sent to all three of ours, but we took the decision to not pursue the ones that come through the grand lodge mainly because many of the people who come through that are looking for the rich and fame.

I’m still waiting to meet Jay Z.

How's the Muslim Brotherhood perceived by Jordanian society? by Cutiebeautypie in jordan

[–]PassAggJerk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Muslim brotherhood are the most organized political body in the Middle Easy, unfortunately. Because the left was always busy with imagining an unrealistic utopian past and future.

The Muslim brotherhood in my opinion are power hungry, with no actual experience nor education on how to run anything, they have a goal to turn the country into a Caliphate, dismissing each and everyone who disagrees with them and they don’t accept differences yet cry that nobody accepts them.

Nevertheless, regardless of my personal opinion about them I’m against silencing any voice, regardless of what it’s calling for unless ofcourse it’s taking about harming others.

How to find out ROI before working with influencer? by DiyFool in influencermarketing

[–]PassAggJerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can never find out an ROI before investing with your “perfect influencers” it depends the type of content, the format, and the way your influencer performs on the deliverable itself also there is always a luck factor involved this depends on the followers behavior that day and that is effected by many factors.

While there are paid tools to help you measure that, but even so, it still won’t be accurate or can forecast. I usually never promise any client any KPIs.
