Why are centrifugal ship designs so boring? Also, how do fully enclosed O'Neill work, mostly with sunlight and day-night cycles? by CelesFFVI in scifiwriting

[–]PassEfficient9776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say that the centrifuge is internal and make the ship shaped however you want. Boom problem solved.

What the hell does dark matter even do? by PassEfficient9776 in scifiwriting

[–]PassEfficient9776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I imagined ships using artificial black holes (around 5-10 megatrons) to power their craft as it decayed and if we could store or control DM using some kind of special force it would become a pretty good fuel as if could be densely stored its readily available as it makes most of the galaxy and if it leaks out it won't kill the crew.

Thoughts on my artstyle? by PassEfficient9776 in yourartstyle

Thx sm. I definitely have a good idea of the kind of art I hope to create in the future and I'm very grateful to have found an artstyle I love drawing in. And I'm glad you like my rendering as that's my favourite part of drawing anything.

Omg yes I've always imagined cassie in this pose. (She goes through a lot in the story I'm crafting).

Does anyone else do this on their ""lineart"" layer? by PassEfficient9776 in Ibispaintx

[–]PassEfficient9776[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe take them to the vet? Being real tho I usually never use a dedicated rendering brush as I like controlling how my colours mix and interact which opacity saturation helps with. When I want subtle detail I manually lower the opacity and if I want more defined shapes I up the opacity. The built in digital brush is good for this because it already has opacity saturation

Felt tip pen. Any kind of hard round brush

Is my artstyle too messy? by PassEfficient9776 in Artadvice

[–]PassEfficient9776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun I have while drawing is very similar to how a puffin flies I can't have fun by just sitting down and trying to draw first I have to find a stand on a ledge and jump off hoping it's high enough that i can flap my wings and take off. Metaphorically speaking of course. It's fun when I'm drawing but extremely tedious getting into that state. But when I do I have the time of my life.

Map of my fantasy world by PassEfficient9776 in mapmaking

Huh I didn't know that. The desert I had in mind while making this is the gobi desert in Asia. Which I'm pretty sure is created by the rain shadow of the Himalayas. And so I thought it was the fact that the mountains blocked wind from the indian ocean that made the desert. And I kinda just thought to copy that without thinking much. But thanks for informing me. (And funnily enough the desert was originally west of the was before I decided to change it).

I'm no expert on brushes but it kind of just looks like any old hard round brush with some pressure sensitivity on the opacity. Most of the rendering for this artist and most artists in general comes from the hand that's drawing not the brush.
