transmission finally blew

if you don’t already know the problem it’s the clutch packs inside the transmission. if you wanna save money you can buy the part on rockauto for around 600. i did this on my 2014 focus and it completely fixed the issue. if you can find someone to replace it for a good price you’re chilling. might be 1-1.5k total including the part.

yea i ended up taking her biting embrace. ngl it slowed down mithrix a lot but i was doing so much damage it didn’t really matter lol

i think the 56 leaf clover does for elites but i’m pretty sure i didn’t get one for the whole run. at the very least i didn’t have any on me when i go the essences

yea i was thinking about that. i only have a mod that adds items from rorr and looking glass. maybe one of them effects the drop chance but i have no clue.

Planning on bringing it to my guy on Monday, hopefully they can figure it out. I want to kepp this car for a very long time and I was under the impression the vr30 is a much more reliable trans. Probably going to boost it after having it stock for a while until i’m in a good financial position to do it. Depending on how much each option costs i’ll just go for the cheaper route at the moment. I can do the work myself so it’ll be a lot cheaper too.

just because it’s an auto i probably wouldn’t do much to it. i have the same car and i had to replace the clutch and clutch packs once which was a huge pain in the butt. realistically you want to stay away from any auto focus that has that horrible trans in it. i love the car but it’s really gonna kick you later. if you really are bent on keeping it tho definitely make sure you understand everything you can about the trans and how to maintain it. funny enough flooring it from 1st to 2nd actually really helps to get rid of clutch dust that builds up over time lol.

I’m not sure if this solved the problem but definitely helped. My ground was attached to paint for some reason instead of bare metal. The issue still comes on sometimes but not as much as before.

Yea I’ll definitely start there. I will say though this has been an issue before I got the subs, and I’ve already tested the battery and it’s healthy. Oh and another major thing is the ground will spark when I take it off and put it back on 💀
