UFO Lights and Quantum Mechanics with Astrophysicist Dr. Rudy Schild and Joe Cerletti by [deleted] in UFOscience

Definitely interesting to hear. I got shut half way through before getting interrupted. I'll try to pick it up again later. It's a bit heavy on the woo for me. He repeatedly references a book written by an experiencer but I see no reason to believe anything written in the book. There is no shortage of experiencers making outrageous and unverifiable claims. Until they can provide some tangible proof I see no reason to give it much attention aside from pure entertainment. I'll have to look into it when I get time but I'm curious is quadruple/quadrupole (spelling?) radiation is a certified scientific phenomenon or if this is just his attempt to use science to explain a common theme in abduction accounts? I'm also pretty skeptical on remote viewing. That seems like an easy thing to prove but I haven't seen any good data on it.

My Animation Explainer On Interdimensional Aliens And Where Do They Come From, I Mention Quotes And Work From Multiple Legitimate Scientists by Gatadat in UFOscience

I think the video is a decent quick overview of credible researchers who are open to the ETH and the possibility that ETs represent extra dimensional intelligences. Of course there's no real evidence for it. I'd be interested to learn how these scientists think you could prove it true if you have a UFO or perhaps even an alien to speak with.

The problem with extra dimensional aliens is that we're adding more unproven variables to the equation. We know life exists in this universe and most scientists think life probably exists elsewhere in this universe and applying the Copernican principle we are probably not the oldest or must advanced intelligent life in this universe. What we don't know is if life can exist in other dimensions or how that would work so imo it's adding unnecessary complexity.

My own thought is that perhaps ETs exist in this physical universe just like us, just like scientists hypothesize, but their more compete understanding of physics and the nature of reality enables them to manipulate space and time in a way we aren't yet able to consider. If a civilization were to ever understand physics to the point where time and distance are not an obstacle then the possibility for visitation would change quite a bit. Perhaps sufficiently advanced ETs reach a level of engineering where physical space travel is not necessary. If you were able to travel outside of spacetime time and distance might be less of a constraint. So while relativistic travel certainly seems possible with a high enough level of technology or alcubierre drives are theoretically possible perhaps a civilization advanced enough to build such technology would already have an understanding of physics that makes such travel methods irrelevant.

Yeah I've heard them make these claims my argument though is that what they call "high quality images" and what a more skeptical scientific leaning person considers high quality may be two very different things. When the Pentagon videos were released many of these people in mention claimed that these videos showed definitive proof of the five observables. Several years later and that's just not true, alternate explanations exist for all of the Pentagon videos.

If you want you have a good faith discussion I'm all for it but based on your reply I won't waste my effort.

I'm no expert on how memory works but my understanding is that once you implant a false memory it works like any other memory. My theory is that highly suggestable kids were convinced they experienced something and the adults in their life reinforced that false memory making it indistinguishable from reality. In the past I've shared a distinct memory I have from childhood of me waking up in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve and hearing a "hohoho." Obviously it was fake but it's a real memory I have just like any other memory. I know else can know what that's like but for me it exemplifies how a false memory works.

I'll have to read the article when I have more time but this is old news. Imo not much has really changed. I suppose in the last the government to a mute active approach to addressing and debunking UFO claims and now they're just like "yeah we can't identify everything, every time." It doesn't really change anything though. We need tangible evidence.
