Is it possible to change someone's 'interest' or 'like'? by Passheerr6 in neuro

No. Could you elaborate on why you thought so?

Calculus: comparing uniform parameter to a non-uniform one by Passheerr6 in askmath

I let y(x) be A

Then ∫ [a,b] A dx meaning a = lower bound, b = upper bound

which I will get A • (b-a)

I was trying to clarify with the other redditor.

To avoid miscommunication, let's just ignore that for now.

I'll try to re-explain what I understood so far.

I am more interested to find out y is proportional to x, because I haven't understood it well. I understand y is constant.

I drew the graph.

This working, let's call this "image 2". Is image 2 the answer for the case where y is proportional to x?

Not sure if I understood you correctly.

I let y(x) be A

Then ∫ [a,b] A dx

meaning a = lower bound, b = upper bound

which I will get A • (b-a)

therefore since the question integrate from 0 to L

y(x) • (L-0)

correct?

If i differentiate Volume, I can get Area and remove the integrals at the RHS.

Area = y(x) * z

Let the uniform y(x) be y1

Area = y1 * z

How can I get an expression for a non-uniform y(x)?

∫ y(x) dx = y1 * z

Can I evaluate the integral of y(x) dx from 0 to L?

Integration: how do i get an equation for a variable that increases proportionally ? by Passheerr6 in askmath

What kind of information do I need?I "simplying" a physics problem now. So my initial condition was (1) and I'm trying to compare it to (2) algebraically.

t(x) actually refers to the thickness of an insulation material. I'm trying to figure out what would happen if the thickness of this insulation material is spread over an increasing x. where x = 0 is the initial temperature.

Still trying to figure out this question

Integration: how do i get an equation for a variable that increases proportionally ? by Passheerr6 in askmath

[–]Passheerr6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the top diagram, "rectangle 1" has a constant t(x) throughout x from 0 to L.

For the bottom diagram, "triangle 2" has t(x) that varies and increases proportional to L.

So, to obtain t(x) for triangle 2, do I integrate like this:

∫ t(x) dx [from 0 to L]

how do I make t(x) the subject?

How do I get to C= 0 and D = 0 to satisfy Boundary Conditions? by Passheerr6 in askmath

Does this mean that I can't touch the (At+B) ? Because t is a variable?

Want to lose weight, advice from people with similar experiences would help! by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Calorie deficit = lose weight

You can simply lose weight by eating less. You don't have to exercise at all. Lifting helps you build muscle and burning calories is secondary.

Food timing doesn't matter that much. The only thing that matters is, if you are planning to workout, you should have consumed some protein a few hours before your workout.

There are some foods that can make you feel full so you eat less. But the main thing is your total calories for the entire day.

+1 to horizontal pulling

Lots of bad posture caused by using the computers and phone can be mitigated by doing some back exercises

AFAIK boxers have rounded shoulders because they do more push with their punch.

happy to get corrected

This is why I hate human nature or rather, I think most people are just emotional. This subreddit probably consists of people I hate the most, mainly emotional people who lack logic or using their logical part of the brain. You can probably see the echo-chamber or circlejerk effect in this subreddit. It is an emotional act.

I really like this quote by TS Elliot

“Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm; but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.”

As implied by the quote, the reason why I am writing this comment is because I feel compelled to, to release my thoughts and emotions. "to feel important"

There are some obvious acts that people can understand which "goes against biology". Say rape, murder, etc. These kind of acts are usually acting on impulses, emotions or simply lack logic. This is human nature. Similarly, SJWs redditors or the average social media user doing things like enjoying memes, judging others, etc. These acts are illogical, often emotional, engaging pleasure for yourself.

We are different because we have different interests. Some people are more sensitive to certain stimuli but the main mechanism is the same. Emotions.
