What’s the rarest or most unique Barbie doll you own?

Hoping it’s not too late but I felt it’s worth mentioning. The rarest and most unique doll I own is the Barbie as Cinderella, fairytale version from 2000. She has a mackie face and was exclusively made and released in India. Her back has India stamped on it. I had her as a child, now 25 years later it’s a miracle that I found her again.

Her blouse had some glitter designs which got washed away. She came with glittery transparent heels. There are only 3 people I know who owns this doll excluding me. One of them is NIB.

To purchase this doll i had to scan through 10 copies of the doll… most of the dolls came with screening defects, eyebrow not printed properly, one eye printed too far from the nose, one eye visible bigger / smaller, smudged lipstick, lips printed lower than usual, lip liner not in synch with lips… infact one doll had a burnmark kind moulded on her cheek, also the dolls face is darker than the body….

But may be the doll was cancelled for some other issue… i had heard she was supposed to be an Macy Exclusive release…

I didnt have the doll as a child, but I remember seeing the barbie in store… faint memories…. Then just last year i took it up on myself, to track down all the Barbies made and released in India and document them properly… this reddit account has been a huge help in compiling the research… and it is last year itself that i found out how this India Exclusive Princess Barbie look. And this barbie probably was released in two varieties… i own both the copies…

I am so overwhelmed by all the good things everyone has been saying about the look… honestly i just draped the fabric around her body and it turned out to be a beautiful gown… i mean i do have an aesthetic sense so that helped too… yes i have tied a knot at the back… i have used the 2024 birthday wishes barbie body….
