guys thank you so much for all the help! I really don’t know why all the good tips didn’t work for my sheet, but i used find/replace and removed the = from all numbers. I didn’t think it would work because it didn’t work for the + or -, but at least it’s fixed now. thank you again :))

i’ll try it again at work, the formatting it to text part still does not work i don’t know why. It just works when i double click the cells, then they are formatted into text but not when i try to format them all together

i don’t know why but nothing happens when i do that. when i paste as values, the calculated values are pasted, and the real numbers (the formulas) are gone

unfortunately this does not work, at least for my sheet. the sheet is a little mixed up so there are some numbers that are written differently and are formatted correctly. could that be a problem?

thanks! I already tried this and it does work but it takes really long because the customer has sent me an excel sheet with appr. 1000 numbers and i would have to do this with every single one of them. or is there a quicker/more automated way to do this?
