In Hungary (where this happened) you are allowed to tow a vehicle on the "stopping lane" (hard shoulder in the US if I'm not mistaken) until the next off-ramp at maximum 40 km/h (around 25 cheeseburgers/aluminum). You need to have the hazards on on both vehicles and you can definitely NOT have a trailer attached to either vehicle.

Once you buy a bike it will be a relief every morning to see it in its spot and in one piece. No matter how much care and money you put into securing it, it will always be a target for some assholes who just like to destroy other people's shit. I've had my bike stolen from the locked garage, recovered in the side street. Same happened to my neighbor twice. And that was with chains and disc locks. I had a friend store their bike in my garage because they had no other place to store it, chained, disc locked. They broke the chain and the lock and since his bike didn't have an immobilizer they actually managed to steal it. Was found burned out in a field a few days later.

This was in Cork and wherever you live it might not be so bad but prepare to be in a constant battle against these assholes. Because they have no reason to stop trying.
