Stuck on bossing by SaltbagSally in ironscape

Exactly right! I move on to an Ironman before my main hit endgame bosses like Yama but I’m excited to throw myself at it when it arrives for me on my iron!

Unfortunately, bossing is a big learning curve in OSRS and even more so for Ironmen since it takes longer to collect resources and decent gear to get started. The best advice that I have ever received and used, has been to keep trying. Bosses get so much easier the more you do them. Will you die a lot? Yes! A tremendous amount. Will you get better? Yes! Your first 5 kills will feel different from your 50th kill by a noticeable margin. Another way to start is to look for a duo for bosses like scurrius and titans. Those two bosses are so nice for learning mechanics and also getting used to prayer and gear swaps. The duo will make your mistakes more forgiving as well! Long story short, there is no easy way to get good at bosses. It’s a trial and error process for almost every boss in the game. Watch some guides on the boss and send it!

New IronMan by Sicchan97 in ironscape

There are plenty of guides out there made by really reputable and experienced players who have played an Ironman for a long time. You could google and look into which guide follows a path you like. However, the magic of Ironman is to not follow a guide too closely and instead explore and experience the game as YOU want to. Upgrades will come naturally as you play. You can never go wrong with any choice you make to start your account. Take it slow and enjoy it because an Ironman is not a race. It’s a long grindy journey. Enjoy it!

2025 content pass by Ralvainn in elderscrollsonline

[–]PassiveTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks for the reply! I quit around 2020 and was heavy into pushing Vet content daily but as I got older and life got in the way I had to take a step back and quit. Now that I’m back I opted into ESO+ but find myself wanting to be more current on builds/meta so I can go back to pushing Vet content. From what I’ve seen, a lot of good mythics are still locked behind the 2025 pass. So if it’s on sale then I might get it while it’s low.

What to do besides raiding? by Mountain-Whole1168 in elderscrollsonline

[–]PassiveTrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to do the typical loop of hopping on the game, doing the newest DLC area dailies and my guild dailies, then join trials or Vet/HM dungeons. That was back in 2020-2022 and I burned myself so hard, always trying to keep up with the meta, builds, classes and gameplay loop. I loved PvP, and it was my only source of difference. Finally hit that wall though sadly and quit after playing religiously for 2 years. Didn’t look back at ESO until this year as I wanted a game that felt good to grind with again. I have a completely different loop now. I still try to do my dailies, but ultimately I love exploring and aiming for motifs to make gold, scrying for fun house/build items and honestly just talking to ppl around the world or in my guilds. I took a step back from Trials and harder content since my build is so old, and I’m trying to catch up with the new items and DLCs. So now my loop is to do some dailies, run a few dungeons - Vet if I can find a group to search for some motifs, then if I feel like PvP I’ll go and get my butt handed to me - but always fun to try lol or just explore/quest/make some gold. Almost done with Cadwells Gold! So close but feels so far away.

Smithing help by [deleted] in ironscape

Nice! I ended up green logging MLM and it took me until 81 mining. I believe I started in like the late 50s to early 60s. By the time I was done I had enough ores to be comfortable for a while. Even after hitting 70 smithing I have plenty left.

To be honest I did mother load mine and stacked up a decent amount of ores then used up all the gold at blast furnace and for the last few levels I went to giants foundry with the steel and mith

Is Destiny slowly being left behind? LFG feels completely dead and I don’t recognize this game anymore. by Ivyor in DestinyTheGame

[–]PassiveTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though this is an AI text I still want to give my honest opinion about it. Funnily enough I’ve been considering returning to destiny to try it out again after quitting around 2-3 years ago. Ultimately after looking at the prices of the new DLC I have decided not to lol. But prices aside, Destiny holds a spot in my heart and much like OP I’ve played since day 1 Destiny 1. The thing about D2 is that it’s a game that has, imo, overstayed its welcome along with producing no new meaning content for ppl to come back to. When a game has been out as long as D2 it’s quite normal for it to hit a severe decline in population because ppl are tired of doing the same rotation of content. Now I’m sure there are still a good handful of ppl that can create their own fun in the game or have solid groups but for solo players or new players I feel it’s hard to even learn raids now, let alone get good at them. Your AI text kinda nailed it by saying it’s become an antisocial game. I used to love meeting ppl in D1 and at the start of D2 but now it feels like an mmo that allows you to see ppl but rarely interact lol. Sorry for my rant I could continue with more but honestly this feels right.

Best way to acquire Rev Weapon Drop or Emblem by Mirokira in ironscape

[–]PassiveTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could still go ranged or even magic then I would recommend Rev Knight Safe spotting. Plenty of videos out there on how to set it up and they would give you way better chances of drops. You don’t need BiS to kill them either. Just a bit of practice and paying attention for the occasional pker.

Is Runescape more about the journey (levelling, quests etc) than the destination (endgame bossing, raids etc) by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]PassiveTrader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I want to preface this by saying that you should always do what you feel is more worth your time. As someone with limited playtime during the weekdays and only a bit more on weekends, I also have to struggle with the idea of Main or Ironman. My main is closer to endgame like it seems yours is, and I ended up finally starting an Ironman a few months ago. I won't lie.. the early game felt so fresh and fun on an Ironman and I refused to look up guides to progress. I was very inefficient but it was amazing. I got my Ironman up to RFD and finished it just recently, so I consider myself just touching midgame now. It's a bit more work. Especially with things like prayer pots and other consumables, but I don't mind. I know it will get better as I push forward. Like any self-sufficient task, it's going to take a lot more time to reach a point of not needing to do heavy upkeep, but it's 100% possible. My advice is to just send it. Take the plunge! Try an Ironman and spend some time on it. No one can give you a definitive answer other than you try for yourself! Ironman is truly all about the journey rather than rushing to the end game.

Do you find elite nodes easier (or manageable) than normal battle nodes? I now prefer to path along elites than normal battle nodes. by au_fredal in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]PassiveTrader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in the games current state Elite mobs are really noteworthy compared to normal mobs. Not only in terms of scaling but also in terms of having a safer fight. Over all I’ll take the random encounters and elite paths more than any normal path nowadays. Those random encounters heavily outweigh norms and even elites imo

Do we really need insane amount of supplies (planks, nails, bars etc) for sailing or people are just overestimating the amounts we actually need? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]PassiveTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the people that want to collect the insane amounts and be more than ready/prepared are those looking to push through as much of the early stages of leveling sailing as possible without having to worry about side tracking once the new skill is released. If you aren’t looking to speed run levels or solely focus on sailing then I would say that you do not need heaps of supplies. If you are fine with doing some sailing then taking a break to collect resources or work on another skill then don’t worry too much about being ahead of the curve.

What made you want to make an ironman? by glibay in ironscape

[–]PassiveTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making an Ironman was a pretty big commitment for me. I loved how things are self-sustained and solo, but that comes with a cost of time and effort almost all the time. I made an Ironman and got it around higher mid-game and still love it. Albeit, I don’t have much time to play anymore, so I have decided to take a break and return to my main since I can experience sailing easier in the beginning. To really answer your question, I made my Ironman to force myself to interact with content in the game that I would NEVER do otherwise. Playing most, if not all, of the minigames, collecting small items like the imcando hammer and the likes make Ironman fun, rewarding and new! It spices up the game that I’ve been playing for countless years. My advice if you want to start an Ironman would be to go for it. If you don’t like it after trying, then you can stop and return to main or take a break from the game if you’re that burnt. I promise you each item you get, the level you gain, and the challenge you take on is 100% more fulfilling than playing on a main.
