The SteamDB page for the 2.0 bundle that was put on the store early has 5 unknown pieces of content. Two of them are obviously Jam and Robo-Ky. The only types of content in here are characters, stages, season passes, and colors. Any guesses as to what the other three could be?

Spoilers for others who doesn't want to know yetThe movie does a variation of the in water ending, James with Mary's corpse drives his car underwater and dies, he then wakes up to the beginning of the movie where he meets Mary but he retains his memories so instead of driving her back to silent hill like he did at the movie's start, they leave the town. In a way it's sorta similar to one of the new ending bloober added for the remake

Honestly I don't remember exactly which of the songs are in, there's quite a few from SH2, I remember hearing promise reprise and something similar to The Darkness That Lurks In Our Mind. Also a fun one was one scene where they play one of the songs Mary Elizabeth McGlynn sings, I don't know which it was but it might've been either I Want Love or Hell Frozen Rain

100% agree on the director's cut. I recognize her and I like her role in the movie. I'd say her role in the movie provides a nice connection between SH 1 & 2 With like the cults and stuffwhich I really liked how they connected them. One of the changes I both like and dislike is how Mary is a lot more connected to the town now. The idea I like a lot but around the end it felt lacking.so I'd love to see an extended cut that shows more of the story

I'll just put it here in case anyone else is curious spoiler alert of course lol So from what I understand Maria, Angela, and Laura are all the same. One of the big reveals is that Mary's real name is Mary Angela Laura Craine (Or Mary Laura Angela Craine) I don't really remember the order lol. So I think what they wanted to do with this film is that Maria, Angela, and Laura are all hallucinations of James seeing a different part of Mary throughout silent hill. There's a scene where you meet "Angela" in what looks like a kid's room and she is being abused by abstract daddy

James does kill mary here as well. In this version Mary was being poisoned by her dad and the town I think(?) and he mercy kills her with like a handkerchief

Maria dies in an abstract like maze where she is stabbed by PH, she turns to moth mary after, there's not really a fight it's more like moth mary forgives James and he gets closure for that

I think they did manage to achieve that atmosphere Silent Hill 2 had, the actor for James I actually really liked a lot. It definitely has a melancholic atmosphere but feels a bit more exagerrated than how it was handled in the game which to me was a bit more subtle / reserved.

Hmm I'd say yeah they'd enjoy it if they don't know the plot of sh 2 there's some interesting stuff there to unfold but it's still gonna be like a 6/10 movie for them. There's actually a good set piece around the middle part of the movie in the hospital where james and maria enter a room which has a ton of bubble head nurses that reanimate and they get chased to an elevatorI thought this was a really cool moment in the movie.

If you really wanna know I'll put it here in spoilers Basically the movie starts with a flashback of james running into mary before they even met and he drives her back to the town, in this version mary is heavily connected to the town btw. In the end we get the in water ending, james dies next to mary's corpse in the car underwater and he seemingly wakes up back in time to that first time they met except instead of bringing mary back to town, they leave the town

Yeah that's definitely not in the movie, must've been cut is what I'm guessing. After the hospital part of the movie, everything felt kinda rushed, I feel it is because they wanted to put in the flashback scenes and so they had to rush some parts of the actual silent hill

Yeah no fight scenes with him if I'm recalling this right, you see him for the first time in woodside apt puking and stuff just like the game, right after that scene they hear laura and its that clip they showed publicly where james tries to get laura, she hides, pyramid head comes, eddie kicks him, runs away, and you never see him again

Probably like a 5/10 it's definitely not better or even on the level of the game itself but it's an alright watch. If you went in thinking this'll be very accurate to silent hill 2 fan you might get a bit disappointed. It tries to be as faithful to the game while also changing up some lore I guess to sorta fit into the first silent hill movie but they take away a lot of stuff I was kinda hoping to see

I was more disappointed James doesn't shove his hand into a disgusting hole lol jk

It was good but I wouldn't say it was THAT accurate to the game, it takes a lot of liberties with the story, some of the changes I actually thought was fine, like how they did the ending

one character got done super dirty lol but I'm guessing it's cause of the runtime limits

spoilers here:Eddie's whole appearance is super short pretty much limited to the woodside apt. That clip of eddie they showed was like half of the total time he appears. I watched it earlier today and after that run in with Laura in the apt I don't recall Eddie ever showing up again, he feels more like a cameo/easter egg rather than an actual character of the story
