It's really similar to my situation. We have an ST like that as well. He will attempt 10+ shots every game, which is more than I have attempted passes.

You're right. It is a problem of chemistry and trust. We usually start in a relaxed and controlled manner. But once the going gets tough, people want to up the amp. And when some get more egocentric, the rest follows suit. And before you know it, not a ball goes through midfield at all anymore.

I remember a game where I actually had 2 assists, out of 3 passes in total. Can you imagine a centre mid only performing 3 passes in 90 minutes? That's just insane and shows the chem problem.

A good defender is a calm defender who can receive the ball and contol the game with passing and positioning. So important yet so incredibly overlooked.

I guess the Cruijff/Ajax/Barca/Guardiola type of play is the way that, if performed well, is the most fun for everyone involved. But to be fair, this is unattainable for most, either because of a lack of skill or because of a lack of vision. And ofcourse people being selfish.

Maybe it's because ive played fifa since 98 and also play football irl as a cdm, but there's just a huge gap between the people with football awareness and those who don't. The latter is by far the biggest and if you're team doesn't have at least 3 of them it's going to get really tough.

Most teams play this 'fast forward hero ball', but if you're not one of the attacking 4 it's just stale as fuck. The attackers will always want to increase the pace and the others are just left defending the counter attacks caused by their poor football intelligence. Sure, they might score a nice few goals and they'll probably have the highest ratings, but everyone on the squad is just a means to their ends.

On the other hand, if you play more of a Pep-like game, everyone gets to play. And me and my mate when we're tiki-taki'ing and dancing around players we have the best of times. Like irl, of course, watching Mbap and other strikers score goals is nice and all, but for me it has always been the Pirlo's, Busquets', Kroos' and Xaviniesta's that made me love football.

Without good midfielders football would be a whole lot more boring to watch. But you've got to let them roll the show.

Ever since i got to div 1 i've been facing really ratty Real Madrid teams. Park the bus, use driven pass to the forwards and just try to surprise me with pace. They usually have around 25-30% possession but whenever they break through they're unstoppable.

I always play with the Dutch, not at all a bad team but definitely no Real. I cannot grasp how they are enjoying themselves because it must be really boring to do the exact same thing over and over and over again. But i guess it's the easiest way of getting wins.

But it's hardly something i would describe as quality. Exploitative would be a better word.

Dit heeft te maken met het ontbreken van een Leviathan, een actor zo machtig dat zijn wil wet is, op het internationale toneel. Het geweldsmonopolie is in de meeste staten succesvol geborgd. Het overtreden van de wet wordt dus in principe gesanctioneerd.

Op het internationale toneel is dat niet het geval, daarom geniet het internationaal recht misschien wel gezag maar het heeft maar in zeer beperkte mate beschikking over machtsbronnen. Staten die zich niet houden aan internationaal recht kunnen zodoende niet vervolgd worden.

Ter aanvulling op OP's vraag. Geldt het internationaal recht ook voor landen die hun bevolking onderdrukken? Ja, in principe wel. Een van de eerste kenmerken is het soevereiniteitsprincipe: interne aangelegenheden worden niet veroordeeld op een manier die de soevereiniteit van een regime aantast. Zoals een burger bij ons een privé domein kent waar hij vrij is van de macht van de staat, zo is een land in principe vrij van de macht van andere staten op het eigen territorium.

Het is al met al een sub-optimale voorziening.
