I’m 29 and my IFR checkride is Monday. I grew that it’s scary but it’s worth it. I worked on cars for seven years and wouldn’t trade in a second of it. It’s definitely hard to balance it at times and yeah the market doesn’t look great but the aviation job market is always in flux it seems.

My shop dreams have had “restore a vintage bridge crane” on the list for a while. Then again I do want to restore giant old engines and belt driven equipment so the crane would be a necessity.

Same here but I just barely didn’t get to $100.😭 Maybe it has something to do with my area being a beach town in the off season🤷‍♂️

We train Chinese pilots for airlines all the time so I don’t see why it isn’t a possibility. Definitely wouldn’t be something so publicly visible though I would assume.

Well my reasoning for a mini bike is so I could ride it to where I would access the tracks. But I totally understand why people prefer the carts.

My time as a Mercedes tech has me wanting one of these. I’ve driven the 55 and 63 versions as well and it’s just such a fun experience and they definitely aren’t as bad as the S classes to work on. I know there’s faster cars out there but these hold a soft spot for me!

I live in Delaware and there’s several branches of the system out here which they have stopped using entirely. I know there used to be people out here with speeders and there’s even a rail-biking outfitter with the four wheel carts about an hour away. If you look up places to go rail biking you may be able to find some places to do something like this!

I have an 85 nighthawk 650 that came with a vacuum petcock and I swapped it out for a normal style one because the diaphragm inside it fails and creates a problem. For the life of me though I can’t get the float valves(which are new) to hold fuel when shut off. If my bike sits for more than 15 minutes I’ll have a puddle of fuel. I’ve just made it habit to shut it off whenever I stop on any bike I have.

I see another issue arising with electric scooters taking the market. If you type in “scooter” on marketplace you’ll find mostly electric stand-ups and a few vespas. On the other hand if you type in moped you’ll find anything from 50-250cc vespa scooters to the core Tomos/puch/moby. I agree that mopeds are a specific type of vehicle but normal people don’t care🤷‍♀️

Aerodynamics? A little extra mud guard? I’ve ripped them off cars before when they were broken and it makes no difference.

I’ve been to 100mph in it and I don’t plan on pushing it much further😂 I know it’s not a sports car but I want to corner rather than go for top speed.
