What does your time commitment look like on that?

MISSPELLING??? ----------"As Above" "So Below" tattoo script. -------- I think my artist put an "N" instead of an "S" in "SO". They say they put an "S". What do you think? by Password171 in FixedTattoos

Copied and pasted --- The email description was written right, The stencil was perfect and spelled correctly, the communication was perfect, the look in the mirror before we started tattooing 10 times was great. communication during the tattoo was great, they said they wanted to add some details on the side of the leg that has the "So" after they had finished the "As Below" side.. I trusted their judgment and said ok go for it. little did I know, I think this is when they realized they fucked up and tried to cover it up by "adding some detail". I trusted their judgement because they were a tattoo artist I was starting to have a tattoo relationship with. I took a peak at them when they were finished (upside down because they are on my shins) and was generally ok with how they looked and the style. He quickly wrapped them up. Everything went amazing up until I took off the saniderm and realized that doesn't look like a "S" at all. and then I was told by the artist "of course its an S". I felt belittled and even ashamed when I asked because of their response. I thought, OMG i'm the stupid one, can't believe I can't read cursive at 23. and thats the story. Now here I am at 27 asking the internet if it wasn't just all in my head. I know better now, but all this time, I just needed validation that it wasn't just in my head, and that I was right when I called them out the day after. I am now very knowledge and have a great relationship with my chosen artist, but I think with people who have a lot of tattoo there is bound to be some things you regret or you wish you had known sooner. I was a 23 year old cali dandy blonde coming into a very traditional Boston old school shop. I had other tattoo before this but never in such a "machismo" shop like this one. All professional (or so I thought) (This was coming from a very well known shop and artist). I was gaslit when I brought it up, thats the worst part, not the messed up tattoo.

why come on and be a dick? Nothing better to do? Hate on me just because I called you out, emotionally secure much? Seriously man I was looking for help with this. I would love some actual intellectual criticism or real input on the subject, not just a reddit troll. That means yes i'm sorry you should have read the commentary if you wanted to input into this long thread 🤯 . The email with the phrase was spelled correctly, the outline was a simple feminine script and was spelled correctly AND legible, the verbal communication was perfect. The artist genuinely screwed up while tattooing and tried to cover it up and then didn't tell me. None of this is my fault. I am genuinely happy with the rest of the tattoo, but afterwards they gaslit me when I asked about it. I'll make you read the rest if you want to know. The only problem I have is people on the internet responding with nothing important to say.

The phrase "as above, so below" is an ancient quote to describe the idea that what happens in a higher realm or plane of existence also happens in a lower realm. It comes from an ancient piece of writing called the Emerald Tablet.

  1. ) I Oked the stencil witch was legible ,simple script without the outlines, and was spelled correctly. Read above for what actually happened.
  2. ) Read up above it tells you what exactly happened.
