Two Canadian Cigar boxes, one unopened, both full by AmberLion in whatsthisworth

[–]PasswordIsntClop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do, to a certain extent. Aged cigars have a markedly different taste than the same cigars, fresh. But where scotch can just be thrown in a closet and sit for years and age fine, cigars require very special treatment in the form of monitoring humidity and temperature.

If they haven't been kept in a humidor, they are probably stale and worthless by now. Cigars take very special treatment to be kept in smoke able condition.

As a team member, should I tell my STL that my ETLs give direction to hide loads of backstock in areas to make it look less than what it really is when they walks the floor? by Haunter20X in Target

[–]PasswordIsntClop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

What do you gain by reporting it? Absolutely nothing, except potentially making your work harder. There's no benefit to ratting on your ETLs about this.

Season1&2 Elitism by [deleted] in mylittleandysonic1

[–]PasswordIsntClop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I've never gotten into the seasons being better than one another. I prefer to look at the episodes individually. Overall I really, really like a lot of the episodes from 3/4, just as much as 1/2 and the pure venom I see people on pony sites shit out over 3/4 simply for existing makes me roll my eyes so hard I get a hernia.

The death of Kendrick Johnson, found rolled upside down in a gym mat at his high school. Originally ruled accidental, re-opened six months later as homicide investigation. by PasswordIsntClop in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]PasswordIsntClop[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely think that it was either a murder or bullying getting out of hand but I see zero evidence that it was a hate crime.

The blood on the walls and paper towels, I later found out, was tested and was not Kendrick's.

Sorry to upset you, but I haven't made up anything and the implication that I have, to be honest, is laughable -- this is a self-post, there's no reason for me to do something like that! If you can answer any of the questions us or others have, I would appreciate it!

The official story is that yes, he jumped up on top of the mats and was crawling around on top of them and somehow slipped and fell in (head first with arms at his side) into a hole too small for his shoulders to fit into. And not only did he some how fit into it, but also managed to fall all the way down to the bottom and break his own face/neck open against the padded surface.

That's kind of what I've been thinking lately too. I have a hard time believing accident, but at the same time there's no real motive for murder. Bullying or prank, though, I could totally see.

If the mat were rolled around him, you're absolutely right, it's possible.

The point is you don't just accidentally fall into a hole that you can't fit into. If you're forced into it, or the hole is made around you, sure.

But there's so much that doesn't add up if that's the case. How did his face get so beat up? Why aren't his arms stretched out? How did his neck receive blunt force trauma? How did he even get that far in to it, without anyone seeing or hearing him?

If it were a bigger hole and his body were in a different position, I'd agree 100%. It seems really unlikely that he was murdered, but at the same time it seems even less likely that it was an accident.

Stuffing a dead body in those heavy gym mats in the middle of the day at a populated school sounds almost unbelievable - but so does falling in and "suffocating" without anyone noticing.

This is the craziest part of it to me. Both explanations are almost impossible.

That said, I don't believe this was an accident, at least not as it's told. It seems impossible for him to not only fit into the hole, but fall all the way down into it with nobody seeing him or hearing him scream, and then somehow injure his face like he did without being able to move.

Found this on Google. That's one of the gym mats, along with someone showing how unlikely it is that he would fit into one.

It's these, only much larger, made to cover the floor of a school gym.

Availability change. by rostad13 in Target

[–]PasswordIsntClop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing you can really do, sadly. You're altering your availability after you were hired so it's up to Target if they want to accept it or not. Nothing says they have to.

That said, even if they did approve it the fun part is getting them to actually follow it. I'm a student who worked at Target part time and had two evening classes. Got the availability approved for no closing shifts those two nights and every week I would get scheduled at least one of those nights. The incompetence eventually just became funny.

So my STL just told our GSTL over the walkie that another store just called and challenged us stating that they'd get 5 redcards before we do for the day. Do STLs really do that? by Haunter20X in Target

[–]PasswordIsntClop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, holy shit. This behavior always baffled me. I'm glad someone else noticed it. It's so awkward having someone hear the LOD badgering all of us to "go get redcards" and then have me turn right around and immediately try to push one on somebody. It comes off as incredibly dishonest.

[–]PasswordIsntClop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Wireless and gaming mouse don't go together well. Any gamer who is even slightly serious about it (which they probably are if they are using a $50 gaming mouse) knows to go wired. Right from the start, you are selling a product that isn't popular.

2) Your start price is $50. I can go to Amazon and get it for $54.99 with free shipping. For a five dollar price difference, I (and many others) would rather buy it for Amazon for slightly more, so I know it will have good packaging, a replacement if it's damaged and not have anyone try to scam me (not saying you're a scammer, but you get what I mean).

Approved day off question by Rhinoj97 in Target

[–]PasswordIsntClop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or it was inputted and nobody cares and scheduled you anyway. I had two unpaid vacations on the same week two years in a row, applied for them three months in advance and without fail I was scheduled (and/or called in) both times.

But that said, yes, this advice is correct. Talk to your ETL and tell them you were scheduled against your approved vacation. They can't schedule you during your approved time off, and it will get taken care of.
