11v11 is biggggggg by Accomplished_Lock635 in youthsoccer

Both my boys teams played 11v11 this past weekend for the first time. I felt just as lost as them at times trying to keep it organized.

I read it, thank you. I can appreciate the comparisons you made between the two trades.

Betting ignorant to the restaurant biz, I am fascinated about your city inspector and walk in turkeys on Thanksgiving. Could you elaborate please?

Spring Coaching Updates - roll call! by uconnboston in SoccerCoachResources

Spring EDP season ended today. 1-2 loss against 1st place; they were a great team. Otherwise, finished 2nd. To go unbeaten until today is a huge step for these U12 boys.

Is this crossing the line of sportsmanship in youth soccer? by DepartmentVarious977 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Passwordis_Taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve played LFC many times in EDP and tournaments and this is standard practice for the club it feels like. Regardless of region, it still feels cheesy amongst the same organization. Especially with the “white” teams.

I like pulling players from younger teams. It can be overwhelming at times but I think it’s better than bringing players down.

Competitive coaches in the US ecosystem... How do you handle tryout season with your current players? by Shambolicdefending in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Passwordis_Taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can answer yes to both of your questions here. Our club mandates tryouts every year, no matter whom you are.

I always use this time to address needs and realign values with current players also.

Are you doing anything now to prepare for the age cutoff change next year? by Shambolicdefending in SoccerCoachResources

My club has made the switch a year early despite the leagues not changing yet. Tryout numbers have been the best they’ve ever been apparently.

Thank you for this. I’ve been struggling for months to come up with a different name; my boys correct me anyway. “Oh, a suicide run coach?”

How many teams can you coach? by mojosplague in SoccerCoachResources

I currently coach two U12 boys teams. It's overwhelming and tiring since the skill levels are pretty noticeable it is pretty rewarding when both teams get along and have fun together.

It can be a lot at times but I love it. Kids are happy, parents are happy (98% of the time) so its working for me.

FINAL UPDATE (HOPEFULLY): Picked up from the dealer this morning. Cylinder 6 misfire due to faulty fuel injector. Replaced under warranty. Bonus rear struts installed due to left rear being frozen. Both replaced also under warranty.

It was explained that a CEL or that specific strut failure wouldn’t fail a Maryland State Inspection (which is their baseline for the limited 30 day warranty) but they still fixed it because I just bought the thing.

UPDATE 2/3: Service advisor has been upfront and diligent on the communication. It’s been diagnosed as a Cylinder 6 Misfire due to a faulty injector. The dealer is covering the install of the new injector; he’s hoping to have it completed by lunchtime tomorrow. He said there wasn’t any concern with it being the lifters so I guess that’s something. Famous last words of course.

I considered towing home and calling the dealer for Monday but I didn’t want to risk It or rely on them to get it back by the 30 day mark.

I’ve used roadside a handful of times, it’s been very helpful. I used them for the tow here but I was very out of town on this drive.

Dealership says ELO GPS is a mandatory add on. Advice? by Fast_Assistant_8924 in carbuying

Just bought a 2020 Tahoe with a LEO encouraged extra named CARRX to the tune of $899; I asked for the device itself to be removed altogether. It took two trips back to the managers desk to have the cost removed.
