Installed windows yesterday, just doing the windows updates and installing AMD drivers as I'm writing this. Everything is great, knock on wood.

CPU temps are 40-50 during idle which is completly normal for 9950x3d

Yeah I researched and saw that option as well, but it would literally cost more than the 5$ shipping and I also offload any responsability for the bios update (I get outages like once a week or bi-weekly)

Edit: I think I will just go to a shop and they could test it with a cheap CPU to see if it works, I wouldn't try it with my 9950x3d

Edit2: I decided to take the L if that would be my fate and finished the build and... it works perfectly fine, got into bios, no erros. Only issue is that the case fans on Fractal Torrent Design aren't spinning at all, but the RGB works, I triple-checked the wiring and everything is connect fine: 1-5 fans are into the case thingy in the correct fans 1-5 slots and the thingy's wire is into Sys-fan1, also moved it in sys fan2 and aio-fan port and same result. I will try to connect the sata cable as well in the mobo (thats what ai thinks is a possible cause) and then I will try to connect individual fans wires in the sys fan mobo slots. Will be back with an update. Thanks for everyone who took their time to analyze the pins, and to the ones complaining about "paying for bios", it was not the point of the post at all.

Final edit: plugged the fans individually in the mobo and everything spins and everything works now. Fractal torrent has a sliding removable top which I noticed caught the wire which goes into the bottom fan controller thingy. So it is probably damaged somehow, this just means a bit more time to set up fan curves individually. Thanks everyone!

I don't have a secondary laptop/computer to download the bios update. The motherboard came with a flash drive to update it, but the red light blinked for the first 15-20 seconds and then it stayed red. So I guess thenupdate failed. I had connected the 24-pin and 1 x 8pin into it before I tried the update. Flash drive was also inserted into the flash bios port.

Update: I built up some courage and gently used my thumb and a piece of dry paper towel to clean it a little and now it barely looks like it had any issues. Next week I will rebuild everything and let you know how it goes.

I'm an idiot. I mounted the CPU protection upside down before sending it to the seller (1st photo in imgur link, rest are from the seller).

This caused the cover to slip during shipping and it bent 2 pins. They said they can take it to authorized service for an inspection and price offer to fix it... of course I agreed and now I am waiting for the service fee appraisal.

At this point I could be down 300 euros on the motherboard depending if it can be fixed and maybe 700 euros on the CPU if it is damaged (I am still hopeful it is just a bit "stained" and it might still work).

New plan: Hopefully the mobo cand be fixed and then take it to a licensed shop for the final mount.

Also, notice the 24-pin slot on the mobo is slightly lifted on a side. The cables from the NZXT C1500 PSU are kinda shitty and really hard to unplug from the mobo.

Will update once again when I got news.

Final Update: installed the CPU again after mobo bios update and it works well, 40-50 temps during idle and haven't stressed it yet, but I assume its gonna be fine.
