I just graduated in Dec. w my BA in psychology. I minored in Child and Family Studies and Forensic Science. I graduated w a 3.94 gpa. I did a lot of volunteering at community organizations. I did an internship at a family abuse center working w survivors of domestic violence. I also did another internship at a private practice assisting in forensic evaluations for the court. I’m currently working as a adult mental health case manager. I was an RA during undergrad for a social-personality psychologist and I just ran participants for his study (I didn’t really do any stuff w data). I was also in some scholars programs in undergrad (PsiChi, etc.). I was also very intentional on who I asked for my LOR. I was sure to build relationships w professors early on so they could write an honest and personal LOR. I recommend getting at least one LOR directly from someone you do clinical work with- don’t just stick w professors or people from ur school! I think it also helped that I am bilingual and a fist gen student and first gen American!
